Literally what? Blizzard had to release SWP bosses in artificial stages, because the fights in TBC were either always too easy or technically broken. Muru was released in 2.4.3 and it took only 4 DAYS to be killed. Now compare that with heroic Lich King 25man and stfu.
It was hard to get into top SWP guild because class balance was retarded and everyone was poaching shamans from other guilds. Gearing up and leveling was a long process in TBC, as well as maxing professions (you had to reroll leatherowrking for SWP) - that was the hard part of SWP, getting there, getting raid ready, getting enough geared shamans and geared warlocks from other guilds.
Give people 5 years to gear up on a private server with high rates and p2w and SWP becomes a joke.

They're pretty good. The one I raided with in Wrath live held the record for Heroic Anub 25 damage for a month and a half or so. Obviously they shine in AoE situations where they can Chain Lightning.
As far as Totem of Wrath, it provides a static spell power buff as well as 3% crit for the whole raid. Early on, in Naxx and Uld, it's great. But it doesn't stack with Demonic Pact (Demo Warlock) which provides 10% SP to the raid versus the static 280 or whatever ToW is. Since DP is percent based, the better our gear gets the better DP gets, and by ToC it's superior to ToW even with losing 3% crit. Without question by ICC.
That said, they are still worth bringing.

on retail I was essentially top performing elemental on my server (nagrand US). depending on your setup (horrific flesh epaulets vs robe of waking nightmare tradeout for 4set) you can keep up with and even beat warlocks and mages at their own game
they don't perform exceptionally until t9 4set. the change in 3.3 for haste on flame shock challenged the traditional stat weighting that had been consistent throughout the entire expansion. now, like spriest and affli they have haste thresholds on flame shock that make it more and more efficient. rushing to the t10 2set and 4set bonuses are dps jumps of anywhere between 400 and 500 in addition to the already nice stats

what classes/specs do we want?

however, you'll get in as any class, most of the specs are viable and we need raiders.
the goal is to set up 25 mans, we've been getting 18-23 players on a raid days

i have 3.3.5 installed, realmlist set to wow.gamer-district.org (after login.gamer-district.org didn't work i looked for another one), but the login i signed up to the forum with just gives me an 'unable to connect' message. trying to log in with the forum email just starts a download for 4.0

If that doesn't work, try a flushdns. Pretty sure that's helped in the past.
It's also possible you just got a corrupted download and need to redownload the file. I've had it happen before. Downloaded the same file again and it worked fine.
