Well the way I have to update is to move the game to the SD and then run the APK. It worked for the past three updates, but I had this trouble before. I couldn't run it one my HTC One M9 for 6 months or updates or something like that.

No, apps on SD card are encrypted and can only be used by that particular device.
You should try to set install location to default, though I'm kind of reaching here.
If you don't have USB debugging setup, google how to use adb.
Then run
adb shell pm set-install-location 0
to reset where your apps go by default.
Any further solutions I can think of would all require rooting.
