I've said it before and I'll say it again. Daily limits on dungeons and the like absolutely slaughter any and all MMOs. They aren't fun, they make the MMO feel like a job rather than a game. They're often "better" in some way than the unlimited content of the game, so after you're done with your dailies you just feel bored out of your mind because you're not getting as much XP / money / drops. Often they're very party-centric content as well, so you feel bored after because you go back to soloing.
It's a shitty fucking trend and I hate it. It became popular around the time f2p did, and I know exactly why it's still around. Much like people copied the WoW formula when WoW got popular, without realizing what ABOUT the WoW formula was good, people copied successful f2p games wholesale when they did well, again missing out on what was good about them. (hint: nothing, they just make lots of easy whale money. f2p is cancer)
End result: Every game has daily limits and nobody has any idea why, or even that the daily limits are BAD for their games. Or, at the very least, that LOW daily limits are bad for their games. They've just copied other successful formulas. It's different with Korean games, because PC Cafes are such a huge part of the industry there, but the moment a game goes international you HAVE to remove dailies from it almost entirely.
The only people dailies appeal to are the people your game would have ALREADY HAD. People say it improves player retention, but this is a lie. All dailies are is a whale trap. They're designed to fool stupid whales into thinking the game is a job and treating it as one, as a "duty". All other players suffer. The moment a game introduces significant dailies is the moment that game starts dying.

I am confident you'll find that the DPS on the Cata Rapier is overall just better. Seism is a fake multihit skill, so it doesn't benefit much from +elemental bonuses, and every other Barb skill hits only once or twice.
The Venier is superior for Sept Etoiles, but that's it.

Venier outdps Cata rapier on everything except sept etoiles. Base damage from Lunge is nice, also +20% evasion. Coquille too, great base damage (not that it really really matters but still nice it always goes into your rotation). Esquiver Toucher, if you're going to take it, definitely loves venier too.
Also, 19 SPR = 4 mdef and a nice sp pool, but consider that skills also costs more thanks to +2 levels.
Still lovely to have both weapons, also, as you already said for very high dex builds catarapier is a little bit better to use your early rank skills like skyliner, cleave and shit.
I still have to test the others rapier vs specific scenarios (like that one for large and +1 skills) and the plate one.
Oh and venier also shines in autoatks, you hit as hard as a chaplain.

Having more enemies didn't put us off, we loved it. The more chances for encounters, the better, The only issue was that some people from within the guilds were heavily upset, because their friends from other guilds were suddenly red-named, and they couldn't party with them for anything anymore.
It was fun, but it didn't have to be that way. Also, Jinsae did it because the reddit guilds told him to, and because he was upset that FOE was no longer the center of attention. There's no escaping that fact, he said it himself.

Skull Swing is every bit as good as it seems, it reduces all def to 0. However, it can be resisted, and bosses often do it. I am not sure if it's a Dispellable debuff, though. Pelt3 has a skill that does the same, but with half the duration with overheat2. Arguably better.
Doppel2 is actually pretty good, but you need something to back it up. Just Cyclone and the Doppel2 skills won't get you far, you need other classes' skills to back them up.

You can fit pelt 1 for swash and guardian, which is excellent for utility and evasion if you plan to roll high dex. Doppel's cyclone is a fun skill and double pay too. Deeds is also a excelent dps buff.

Even if that's true, it doesn't matter. You can achieve 100% Ausrine uptime and 100% Retreat Shot uptime with it and the Diev cooldown reduction statue even if it's working as intended with just an Melstis gem and DM.

You WANT to max Skull Swing No way around it. Makes you very useful to the team. If you fight something way above your level where you're hitting 1s, if you use Skull Swing you will do full damage. As for Crosscut, it does scale from what I've noticed. My other haha3 buddy only has one point in Crosscut while I have 5. Mine ticks about the same as his but he has more str than me. DO NOT drop a rank of doppel for corsair. Doppel 2 skills are decent in terms some are multihits, first rank ones are shit unless it's cyclone. I'd put a point in Double Pay Earned becuase if you activate it before a boss dies in missions, you will get double xp/silver. Just don't hit anything when activating it, let them kill it.

is wrong because sapper is always terrible in PVP. It's used only for Detonate, but Capture is beter so why fucking bother.
The first one is standard AoE PVE archer so I don't know why you need to ask. The rest are bad by way of being sapper builds doing anything but the first.

Get more dex if you want crit/evasion

Pain barrier is insanely useful later on, you'll want to max it.
Thrust for the pierce may seem like a nice idea but the animation time is garbage and its always garbage even for just using as pierce damage.
Guardian is garbage outside the attribute since its a flat damage reduction instead of increasing defense.

You'll want level 3 cartar stroke as well as level 1 wagon
Deeds of valour as well as cyclone are the main reasons to go doppel. All doppel c2 skills suck balls and do less damage than barb skills.
Going doppel c2 means you're either a doppelfag or you're believing in the doppel c3 meme.
