I've found the E-Shank works better with Skeleton. Procs less with Blood Gamble, and you can fire it fast enough to match the classic E-Sword's damage output. Good shit.

and unless you're melting there is no reason not to put crown of blood back on 5-2, because you'll just get more dogs and you're either already on ultra or you're at level 9, unless you want the ebin e-peen points

To produce three swings that deal 30 damage to a heavy portion of the screen at a point in the game where the screen is going to be heavily congested with enemies, CoB or not. It's not reliable at all in the first loop, but we're not talking about the first loop here(?)

You can rely on any Ultra weapon just before the point where you can begin relying heavily on Lucky Shot, being somewhere around the middle of Loop 2.

With a U.Shovel, Lucky Shot, and Bloodlust, you basically become unstoppable and unkillable with how often everything procs. Carry a SPC or Super Crossbow as a sidearm, since both of them deal piercing damage to deal with hordes. Most enemies will die quickly against any combination of those weapons, meaning Trigger Fingers will proc very often (meaning, your SPC isn't gonna have that much downtime)

What! It's back?!?!?! I've missed it so. Steredenn is on the steam summer sale right now. Go buy it if you're a fan of SHMUPS. Pseudorandomly generated stages (think Isaac level random stage generation) with a Nuclear Throne style upgrade system. It's a lot of fun.

I'm not sure I like Gungeon as much as I thought I would. Everything feels really slow and takes a long ass time. The maps are huge, the rooms are huge, and then when you've almost cleared a room it spawns in a few more.
Just feels very hard to pick up speed and start going fast like you can in NT and Isaac, the game doesn't seem designed around going fast or have the options for it.
Maybe there's something I'm missing and just need to play it more.

The main issue with BoI is that players aren't allowed to play by their own rules, nor are they allowed to get overpowered very easily. Back then, getting overpowered builds made the game fun and easy, while lucking out and getting crap items made the game harder, making the player question whether they should restart, or press on for a chance of a really good item. But Edmund doesn't want that, Edmund instead wants the player to play his game the way he wants it. Back when Afterbirth was first released, there was the Glass Cannon, which was extremely powerful, but took your HP down to a half heart. If you had Soul Hearts, it retain those. Edmund found this to be overpowered, and now it Does remove Soul Hearts, making it the worst item in the game.Oh and fuck the Mega-Satan unlocks and the half assed Bob Transformation.
