It's probably the most beginner friendly atelier game out there. No time limit, normal mode is easy as fuck and there's no missable events except for one which is near the end. Overall atelier games are budget JRPGs without epic story lines. Think more like a slice of life anime in form of a game. You have events with all your party members and town NPCs, you usually run an alchemy shop and you mostly gather stuff / craft stuff. Sophie has probably the best combat out of them all since the earlier ones are really barebones when it comes to fighting. The biggest gameplay focus is on alchemy. You craft stuff by mixing things together. Things have effects on them that you reach when you use better materials, every material has random traits on it and creating the best items / weapons can take a couple of hours if you have absolutely no idea what you are doing.
