I just downloaded the 9999999999 save file and am using it to max out Wraith to get his perks.
It never really dawned on me how absurdly slow the progression system is. I've already spent millions and I've only gotten two of the trainable perks. What's the point of a progression system if you aren't going to monetize it? Just slows everything down for nothing. I mean, I'm glad it's not monetized, but I'd rather it just didn't exist to begin with.

i assume you are talking about this:
0)Make sure "Enable Steam Cloud sync" is disabled in the game's properties (in the updates tab)
1) Right click on your Dead by Daylight shortcut and go to properties (make one if you haven't) You will see a link that looks something like this: steam://rungameid/471230 /admin
2) Do a search on your computer for 471230 (or whatever number you had in your shortcut)
3) Your search should find a folder with the same number in your Steam folder, looking something similiar to this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\something\471230
4) Open that folder, then click/browse through the following folders: remote-->out-->profiles
5) You will see a file called remote and remotechache. Delete them, and you're done!
You can also back it up before each game to prevent losing items when the killer ragequits.

Just remove the system entirely, make every killer and survivor have their unique perks and nothing else. While you're at it, nerf said perks so they're less ridiculous. Meg's sprint is now just a slight, flat, permanent speed increase. Claudette's can see wounded players' auras and heals them faster but can't heal herself, maybe other players can see her when wounded. Jake's sabotages only increase the changes of a survivor being able to wriggle free.
The unique killer perks are pretty meh so I wouldn't do anything to them, maybe nerf the Wraith's a bit.

It's even worse for killers because even if you don't like Wraith you're cucked into playing him for 40 levels just to get the only good killer perks in the game. A stamina bar could work, but killers breaking windows is just going to rob the survivors of the tool they need to help them break LoS.

Trapper and hillbilly can already combat it, wraith is the only one who has trouble with the self heal. I'd recommend adding something to it where if a wraith just got a uncloak hit on you, you're too shaky to heal yourself for a minute or two. Someone else can still heal you in the meantime though.

Or perhaps, if someone gets unhooked from a sabotaged hook then it breaks permanently, instead of just being broken. That way the killer can still get his use out of it, but survivors get a stronger reward for unhooking since that hook is now broken.

I guess what I meant was when its 1v1 and the survivor is hiding inside a house or some unreachable spot where if you were to go after him as the killer, he'd out maneuver you and get to the hatch or whatever. Those kind of stalemates seem to happen pretty often.

Probably overwatch but I think I have a similar number of hours in both games. Overwatch is undeniably more polished, less prone to massive cheating, and mostly bug-free.

I can't in good faith recommend either really. Overwatch became really stale really fast for me and was ultimately not worth 40 bucks. DbD has kept me hooked but with all the massive problems it's a pretty broken mess. A fun broken mess but a broken mess nonetheless.
Just played as hillbilly to get my ritual rather than trapper, my preferred killer. I finally understand the "jukespots" and how they ruin the game.
Every time I tried to get someone, they would beeline for either a bus or the house. It didn't matter where they were, they always went there. Billy can't catch up, chainsaw or not, due to wreckage in the way. They would tbag there until I would leave them to patrol generators, then it would happen all over again. One time I scratched one of them, but they immediately used self heal while doing what they did before.
How can people possibly defend this? Put the people in this screenshot on your shitlist, they're unplayable.

It's definitely more fun that way. With the killer having tunnel vision and the survivors floundering about. The golden age for this game has passed, with the coming of experience. Now that people now how to sprintburst to a jukeshack and self heal between jumps, it doesn't matter who you hunt and when. The only killer that's not a joke is Trapper, and even then people will soon learn to sabotage his traps as well.
