I think they just need to buff the higher impact ones so they can compete with the lower ones. For snipers they just need to reduce AA to like 30 max and as you say up the flinch and inaccuracy when getting shot while ADS. Higher impact ars could use some love also, the monte carlo archetype is potent but so many of them are shit, and the slow firing ones flat out suck.

Taking old areas and dressing them up has been Bungies MO for a long time. It could go either way but making a new instance separate from the Cosmodrome and including updated versions of the Divide/Rocket Yard will help reduce the amount of testing needed with spawn, balance and ai path finding. With Destiny 2 being pushed back RoI is a rushed project to fill the dead air.

IT's all about how you play fps games
Hunter: A lower armor class best at long to mid- range that specializes in speed and stealth/tactical play who is also a space cowboy
Gunslinger: Solar/fire class that uses cheap tricks like throwing knifes and step mines to get rid of opponents quickly, it also has abilities to help out using any gun. You have a super ability that summons a Golden Gun similar to the one in the 007 games but only has 3 shots.
Bladedancer: Arc/lightning Stealth/speed based class that can go invisible and one shot melee from behind, your super allows you to summon your Arc Blade, your hunting knife is surrounded by lightning, a super that you can run around with until the timer runs out and can one shot enemies with a single slash and your class tends to focus on it a little bit along with invisibility.
Nighttalker: Void/purple drank based class that is all about supporting teammates and being a slippery bitch. Your super ability summons a purple bow that shoots a huge anchor into the ground or where ever, which tethers or attaches to nearby enemies making them incredibly weaker and their abilities are suppressed.
Titan: up close and personal, protecting others.
Striker: this Arc class is all about beating the shit out of your opponent with punching, 1 shot kicking and your super named Fist of Havoc involves slamming your fists down for a devastating AoE.
Defender: void class that is all about spamming your free melee shields and supporting your teamates. Your super summons a huge purple bubble that gives buffs of shields or damage to you and your temmates.
Sunbreaker: Solar based class that is all about playing mid range with your grenade and melee anything that dares draw near until you get your super, which just so happens to be a huge Hammer of Sol, a roaming super that allows you to throw several exploding hammers to clear a path for those following you.

Voidwalker: Void based class that lets you melee and regain health and spam dark abiilites, your super Nova Bomb is like a Fist of Havoc but you stay in the air and aim it where you see fit. All your abilities can heal you.
Stormcaller: Arc based class that spams long range melee attacks and cheap grenades that zap others close for multikills, your super is a roaming one that lets you be a sith lord until the timer runs out and you can kill the entire enemy team twice over sine your super activation summons a wicked thunderbolt like Fist of Havoc. Also you can teleport for more cancer during this.

It doesn't matter, use what you want. Most strikers are shotgun rushing shitters who rely on either Shoulder Charge or their shotgun with max range for easy kills. Titans are the fastest class in the game, look up Titan Skating

also titan gets ruin wings which makes enemies drop more heavy ammo and with the Gjallahorn coming back its going to be a lot of fun.
