Dominions is a fantasy turn-based strategy game created by two dudes. One of them is a teacher.
The game combines a simple presentation with an extremely wide array of strategic options, including over 2800 units, 800 spells and 300 magic items. Turns are resolved simultaneously, with players planning battles rather than directly controlling them.
It has simplistic graphics but is easily moddable and extremely deep.
Basically, it's an autist’s wet dream of a strategy game.

I have been calling stuff in the void gate for 80 turns and none of it triggered Insanity.
That's because after being successful with it, there is a roll for insanity. And Void sanity makes them almost immune to it, which made me think the RNG went crazy there.

Well, that's it then. Taken out in the Ro16 by /twg/. Again.
A lot of small factors consolidated to make this a loss, I think. Conditions definitely played a part in it(yes >>145881675, that's just how it goes sometimes) but I'm definitely a big part of it too. Partly it's because I didn't make the right changes, or didn't make them soon enough. In retrospect I think I should've mirrored /twg/'s formation and packed all my midfielders into the middle and played with an aggressive, high defensive line to try to dispossess them near the halfway line instead of letting them get into the box. But I didn't, at least partly because I didn't manage to test for this match at all. I managed to break my testing setup somehow while trying to get a different game to work. There's also the fact that I didn't give Quadbless Mictlan and Forester Bob any shooting cards while making the team in favor of just sticking more crossing and shooting abilities on them. This has proven to be a mistake.
Still, all-in-all, this wasn't a terrible performance. We got out of the group stage, with 9 points no less. We've got a guaranteed rep on the /vg/ team(though this is hardly a desirable trophy at the moment); we should probably decide who that should be.
Also, if you don't want to see a repeat of this, I'd love to have someone help me with the testing next league, since my own potato can barely handle running the game at all. Assuming this general doesn't die, but I have faith it won't.

An alternate LA Marignon.

Siege engineers that have supply bonuses. For getting to forts in the middle of no-pop land and pulling them down.
Same old generic army. Crossbow spam not quite as OP with lower F but pls nerf anyways.

The fact that attempting to dual-wield maces is literally retarded. You can dual-wield axes fairly effectively, or shortswords reasonably well, but maces, as a blunt object, require a heavy, long swing to do serious damage (one that's fairly accurate at that to strike at the head or sides). Since this borders on impossible with two maces, nobody ever tried. Maces get paired with shields for a reason, like longswords - you need a serious arm on it.

Hey guys, diplomacy question:
Player A has attacked Player B and taken a bunch of their provinces. Some of those had forts, which Player A is in the process of besieging.
I attack Player A, and take a bunch of their provinces, including some originally owned by Player B. However, Player A has not cracked the forts.
I could postpone my attacks so A takes B's forts and then take them for myself. I could kick A off and take them directly from B. I could kick A off and let B keep the fort but not the surrounding provinces. I could give back some of what was B's land so he keeps forts with surrounding provinces.
I don't feel up to a full war with both A and B at once, but am convinced I can kick either of their asses one at a time.
What is the recommended course of action?

So, going under the assumption that you have already attacked Player A, I would suggest you go after the Provinces that Player A owned before the war between A and B. The big reason to not go directly for the former player B's land is because should they bounce right back when A gets hit hard by you, you will be in a position to befriend them if you so choose. Additionally, if you are fast, you can claim all of A's lands while B only gets their old lands back. If you are even Faster, then if you can claim nearly all of A's lands before B gets back most of the land they lost, you can take some of those as part of 'cleaning up A'. If you don't care about breaking a promise, then you could even tell them you are only doing it to end A and are fine with giving those provinces back once A is actually dead. This can put your armies in a forward position to hit B while they think you are actively helping them.

Oh no, that isn't Memegeddon. He is talking about a Natgen game that I subbed into and despise playing in. The only thing stopping me from AI'ing or finding another sub is the dawning realization that for some reason no one is attacking me and I keep getting to do stupid stuff like make wish casters on a non-astral nation, Tart Factories on a non-death nation, Dom pushing on a nation that can't blood sac, and mass empowering mages into path combinations to see what various summons and spells do. I am less playing that game, and more using it to test out things that I would consider too worthless to try in a test game.

I'm not sure who the "friend in the North" is but yeah, I just noticed the thrones-to-win myself. Also who's actually urging an attack on little ol' me? Jotunheim, of course, but he brought my righteous anger upon himself. No, I have been attacked. Pan attacked me when Lanka took him over. Lanka also at one point had an entire anti-bat coalition going that was almost half as big as the Pro-bat coalition I had going, too. The two thrones that were taken could sort of be seen as an attack as well, but on everyone.
The important thing is that no one has ever attacked me successfully, and because of that I have been able to help them prosper and succeed. It is my hope that when the chips are down and the votes are tallied, that the people of Oeridia will come through for me and elect me President.
