You know in a multiplayer match, I've legitimately put up a wall reinforcement up as they were breaching - and it stopped them from coming in.
As the reinforcement hit around the half way mark of being put up, I just see the fucking wall blow up and take about 70% of my health. Just held down the button and sealed that shit up.
I could only imagine the frustration of the attackers of having them find a wall they can punch a hole in, only for it to be sealed up immediately.

I progressed from inital noobie with no idea what's going on who punched holes in walls but all engagements were a head-on cointoss (but yet game was a lot of fun) to mid level and starting roaming (game became more fun) just by watching youtube operator guides. Serenety 17 and GRMP or whatever are good for that.
Overall stop worrying and leran to love the bomb. Play with teamspeak to learn mad MLG strats like bullying randoms and recruit rushes.

The only thing that frustrates me in this game in this dumb shit indoor outdoor glare, I get if its a temporary effect upon exposure to an outdoor light source I could sympathize but it being permanent no matter how long you look is stupid. What worked for me was running around the maps in custom and getting used to the layout. Get better at taking all the cameras without having to look for them. Get better at knowing the room locations. Get better at finding good angles (this take a a while, but it's worth it when you find that one murder hole that covers so much).
Oh, and always play a round of Lone Wolf Terrorist Hunt for the day before you go into online PvP (I recommend Relistic difficulty). Warm-ups are no joke. You don't want to lose your feel of a gun during those hours of not playing, go into a casual/ranked match, die terribly, then go on tilt for the rest of the day thinking you suck. Terrorist Hunt lets you regain that feel of your mouse sensitivity and landing quick headshots.

did you see the way the laser forced him to play, especially from ceiling trap doors? he had to keep the crosshair awkwardly rested on the edge of the trap door so the enemy wouldn't notice it, instead of just keeping his aim down the enemy's path if it weren't there. now he has to take extra time to reflex snap on the enemy.
all the laser does is make your hipfire grouping the slightest bit tighter. who cares when vaguely aiming at the head with a shotgun gets you an instakill headshot anyway, especially in ironsights?

Except you'll have to break open a window/door and the sound gives attackers more than enough time to react. Or, if you break it down in the preparation phase so it won't make noise, they'll see it's open and drone in/watch that opening. Plus you have to know where people are rappelling, and if you do, they've been stupid enough to leave a camera up, or rappelling in the same spot for way too long.
It is already high risk high reward. The only problem i see with defenders going outside is that some maps have some spots that can be camped on the start of the round (bank alley, kafe van thingy, etc), but that's a problem with those spawns, not the countdown.

Except sometimes it's as simple as a Pulse waiting near a door to detect someone repelling, then tearing it down and killing you before you can react. Most the time when repelling you can't even properly aim down at them and are at a huge disadvantage.
And with Valk now there's a big chance they've thrown a camera outside, and those things can be thrown a huge fucking distance while still being able to see windows.
This game is about defending the objective room and destructible environments, not running outside and getting easy kills because the system is broken. The fact that someone can run out and kill you before they are detected is just bullshit
