You're obviously gonna get biased answers here. I like it due to the combat, the lore, and the flexibility you as a player have to play it however you want. There is a meta but it's fairly plastic.

How easy it is to install and uninstall addons is a huge plus on PC. You can even install them while you're having the game running. It just werks.

Nah I still got my original one, it has some tears at the folding seams but it is fine otherwhise. (And I still got the combined Vvardenfell+Mournhold map that came with Tribunal in mint condition.)
Did the patch that removed vet ranks kinda fuck up blacksmithing while you are going through Cadwell's silver/gold? After the patch, the ore you find seems to be only for crafting gear well below the CP level of the enemies of the area.

>>145350419
It didn't fuck up as much as they didn't care about changing it. They can change the armour of the orcs in a single sidequest to make it match the armour found in a new DLC with next to non ever finding out, but they won't bother fixing so you get appropriate crafting materials after the CP change.

Really you don't need to grind much for most things unless you want to do Trials or Veteran dungeons.

PvP can be started as low as level 10, granted you'll probably just be using siege weapons or charging in zergs rather than killing players 1v1 until maybe level 20-25.

I'm new to this game, where can I find some basic class skill tree introductions? I don't want to commit to either Dark Magic or Storm Calling without seeing what looks flashier first.
>>
>>145361723
you don't have to comit, it's not like other MMOs. there's plenty of skill points to go around. keep at least one ability of each tree on your main bar, and it will level both at the same time.
>>
>>145361860
But it's not like The Secret World or traditional Elder Scrolls games where I can just fuck around and buy every skill point either. If I level up Dark Magic, but end up only using Storm Calling I'm just wasting my levels, which also have a hard cap.
>>
So after watching E3 I kinda wanna get into this game. I played the beta way back but didn't play after launch cause I had other shit to do. I got plenty of time to get lost into a new game so I wanna try this out. How's the PvE community for this game? I typically play a tank in most MMO's. Does this game have something like that or is it more like GW2?
>>
>>145362112
Also if I wanna play with people from this board do I have to pick a specific faction?
>>
>>145361723
You don't commit to any skill tree. In the end you'll be using skills from 3-6 trees.
>>
>>145362186
>>145362112
I'm part of 2 dedicated endgame PvE guilds that are close to the guild pop cap- 500.

Tanking's uh.. involved in this game, to say the least.

Most of us in NA PC are EP, but dungeon content is cross-faction, and soon all pve content will be too.
>>
>>145362057
You'll have plenty of skill points by the end to have every skill and passive you could want on a character. And respeccing is cheap anyway if you find yourself lacking.
>>
>>145362112
>>145362186
Personally I'd play dps first cause you can actually kill things at a reasonable pace. Tanks aren't needed anyway until you unlock dungeons at lvl 45 and respeccing is cheap.

The One Tamriel thing sounds like it'll be implemented over the summer into the fall, so it's not in the game yet. You can group with people of other factions to do dungeons and trials, but otherwise you're stuck with people of your own faction until they update.

You might want to run through silver and gold cadwell's play the other faction quests for the skill points and books/shards etc. You should hit CP 160 during/towards the end of silver. No idea on how far gold will take you, but I'll probably know in a couple of weeks.

From what I understand, the base game is $60-80, you have to pay like $10-15 for each of the three factions (wat) in in-game currency only, and you have to pay $15 per expansion also in in-game currency only (wat).

Or, you can pay a monthly sub to access all DLC (and factions?) without having to buy them, unless you stop subbing.

That's true, but the consequence of that has been an increasing quantity of DLC, and more expensive DLC.

Cyrodiil (the map of Oblivion if you played that game) is PvP. It's entirely possible to just go around and play PvP after you've reached level 10, that should take like a day for a completely new player.

There are some fun abilities and i think the coolest ones come from werewolf and vampire skill trees, you should go check those out(yes, you get both of those skill lines from cash shop, BUT once you have one of those you can infect others. people mostly sell it)
If i were you wouldn't worry about endgame. I've been playing this game pretty actively for a few months now and i've been too caught up on questing and pvp(which is fun imo)
>>
>>145374510
I can't really say since ESO's the only MMO I played except for WoW to level 20 (and only to get the hearthstone portrait).

I used to play a lot of Dota and no ESO abilities surprised me per se by their uniqueness.

The combat is good, reminds me of mass effect 3 multiplayer in that you have dodge roll and animation cancelling. Definitely enjoyed it more than Skyrim's.

As I understand it, leveling in ESO is more involved than in other MMOs because of voiced quests, and fewer kill x fetch quests. I found it fine personally, like Skyrim-tier quests? Playing through it was like playing a mediocre single player RPG. I played WoW to get to level 20 and found the intro quests way worse in comparison, and completely understand why people say the real game starts at max level for WoW.
>>
>>145375318

>Like mind control of high mobility stuff?

There's tons of stuns, life steals, and leaps.

The main draws I should probably talk about here are the two "Diseases" skill lines.

Both are caught by having a player with the disease come and bite you. These two skill lines are Vampire and Werewolf.

Vampire completely morphs your character to the pale white skinned texture in pic related. You'll gain one of the strongest ults in the game, a "Drain life" spell that's a life steal, and "Mist form." (Which is one of the strongest escape skills in the game)

The trade offs to the Vampire skill line are lower rates of health regeneration and WAY more damage from fire.

You need to balance the trade offs and skills by actually feeding on NPCs.

There's four stages. At stage 1, you won't take any additional damage from Fire and your health will regenerate normally, but your Vampire skills won't do much and they'll cost a lot to use. At stage 4, you take 75% more fire damage and your health regenerated 25% slower, but your Vampire skills can kill and they cost basiclly nothing.

The Werewolf skill line will allow you to transform into a Werewolf. This completely changes your skill bar and only allows you to use the Werewolf skills. You're a walking death machine. Just spamming your "Auto attack" will kill most enemies. For large enemies, you have a really good self-heal and a DoT. You also get a leap and a fear ability.

The downside is it's only for a set amount of time: 20 seconds.

You can reset the timer and stay in Werewolf form by eating the corpses of the enemies that you kill. Each time you feast, the timer resets.
>>
>>145375318
God don't buy werewolf of vampire from the real cash shop. Just join some random big guild and there will guaranteed be someone who will bite you for free.

The cash shop bites are a new thing, the old way was to get bitten by one of the vamp or werewolf spawns at a low % rate of infection. By today it's trivial to get werewolf/vamp because most players infected each other from then on.
>>
>>145375684
>>145375694
Calm down guys. I didn't buy it from the cash shop. Random people sell those for 6k on /zone so why would i? and yeah of course guildies can give it you completely free. I don't have either of those at all.

So how do classes/skill types work? Is it like other ES games where you aren't really a defined class and can just sort of raise whatever skills? I'll take a look at some of the abilities on the wiki because now I'm interested. How necessary is min/maxing or can I just pick all the shitty fun abilities?
Sorry for all the questions but $20 means I'll be eating a lot of rice and dried beans for the week.
>>
>>145376104
Yeah. The classes mostly define the theme of your abilities like nightblade is a stealth/dark magic class and dragonknight has flame abilities. You can tank/dps/heal on any classes. I haven't had issues with min/maxing so you can pick what you want and for group content you'll just need to get the job done.

>>
>>145376104
>So how do classes/skill types work?

Each class gets access to three diffrent skill trees. Each class's skill trees fits a diffrent flavor, so you're really just picking your character's "Style."

>Templar
Bright yellow glow shit. Holy spears and shit. You're either a priest or a paladin.

>Dragonknight
Fire, iron, and stone. You'll be flinging chains around the place, shooting fire breath, and conjuring up lava whips. You can also throw rocks at people and make them fall on their ass, and that's funny to see.

>Nightblade
The only class with a stealth skill. Anyone can crouch and go hidden, but nightblades get to actually go invisible.

Your other traits are going to be blades made of blood and shadow, summoning shades to help you fight, and stealing life with vines and thorns.

>Sorcerer
This is the class that gets to summon Daedra. Pretty much the only class with any real conjuration.

Your other skills involve dark crystals and a metric fuck ton of lightning.

Other than that, whatever weapon you use gets its own skills, you get skills from whatever guilds you want to join (All of them, trust me,) and you'll get even more skills from the two PvP skill trees that level as you kill other players in the PvP zone.

Basically, class means nothing. There's hundreds of diffrent skills to choose from, and your class only dictates three of your trees.
>>
>>145376104
Ok, if $20 means you're eating only rice and beans I'd have to say don't buy this game.

Classes give unique skills and passives, which tend to influence builds. Usually you focus on either magicka or stamina for each class. And there's enough skill points to get just about every skill (though it may be tight if you have maxed all 6 crafting professions).

So I normally run ESO on all ultra settings between 45-55 FPS in the open world and 60+ inside, is there any way to pump my FPS up in the open world? It sometimes dips down and goes down to 25-30 depending on the area

Any tips?

Nightblade sounds pretty fun then. Can I go pure caster on it? I'm not much for warrior archetypes. Now I'm getting excited.
What's the focus of the actual gameplay on? Exploration and dungeons? Quest grinding?

>>
>>145379951
You can go full caster on it. Don't know how good it is, but it's a possibility. The focus of the gameplay? i think you listed all of them. Mostly you will be doing quests to level up but you are also encouraged to explore and do dungeons. Just try not to rush to the max level, just sit back and relax.

Shadow are the most demanding thing for your computer. If you are not experiencing fps drops in cities but outdoors just shave away some from your viewing distance and maybe lower the shadow settings a bit until you find your sweet spot.

Everything works for PVE as long as you don't go full loco t-b-h. I got bored with my destruction staff sorcerer when I was in my level 30's and switched to dual wield so take it easy and experiment. If what you try won't work you can switch to something else and it might take some skill levelling but it is not really a huge hassle you'll be just fine.

>>
>>145382301
>So I can't mix and match between classes right?

Correct

> I like the ability that makes clones of yourself but Geomancers are cool too.

The "Geomancer" I'm pretty sure you're talking about is the Sorcerer's Storm Atronach. It's just one skill, and the summon doesn't last that long.

I will admit it wrecks shit, though.

If you're talking about all of the earth & stone style skills the Dragonknight gets, then make a Dragonknight. I'm not kidding. They are fun as hell and you won't regret it.

>Necromancy branch

Players have been wanting a Necromancy skill line since day one. We'll get it through DLC or something, but it's annoying that it isn't in yet.
>>
>>145383108
I'm talking about Dragonknights, ya. Can I make them pure/mostly casters? Their abilities definitely look like a lot of fun. The Vampire skills look really fun too. I'm not a fan of fire thematically so could I go with the earth skills mostly and make them do poison damage (I assume the morphs listed function as a replacement to the base skill) then go vampire too?
I'm just coming off of Tree of Savior where the class diversity is an illusion so I'm a bit paranoid about making a garbage character.
>>
>>145383872
Every class can be played magicka or stamina, dps, healer, or tank.

Only combination that I'd say is unusual and I've no idea how they work are Stamina Sorcs, or Sorc Tanks.
>>
>>145383872
Also in general fire/lightning/frost/magic are magicka abilities which means you're playing a magicka build and poison/disease/physical are physical abilities which means you're playing a stamina build.

Very few things scale of HP, but the dragon knight igneous shield, the templar sun shield, and the undaunted bone shield come to mind.
>>
>>145383872
>Can I make them pure/mostly casters?

Dragonknights make one of the best DPS casters in the game.

Any class can be a pure caster, any class can be a pure melee, any class can be melee+bow.

What you can't do (Or, actually, is just really, REALLY, hard to do correctly) is be melee+caster or bow+caster.

>I'm not a fan of fire thematically

Eh... in that case, might not want to go Dragonknight after all.

1. If you're going pure caster, almost all of your casts are going to involve fire in some way.

2. Even the poison morphs show some kind of fire (Think: green flames)

>I assume the morphs listed function as a replacement to the base skill

You are correct.

>I'm just coming off of Tree of Savior where the class diversity is an illusion so I'm a bit paranoid about making a garbage character.

It's impossible to gimp your character. Respecs are 50 gold per skill point. At max level, my respecs cost only 10K gold.

Stam sorc works fine for me.

Flurry as my sole damage skill + expert hunter from fighters guild skill line for crit bonus + surge for self heal on crit and damage buff + bound armaments for armor and max stamina buff + hurricane form for movement speed and physical and spell resistances. I have storm atronach for my ulti until I can get fighters guild ulti for bonus weapon damage.

This build is far from optimal probably but it melts away regular mob and unqiue world boss hp pretty good and it is plently fun for me.

This is fine. Green fire is poison which works with stamina. I don't know what you mean by caster, but if you use damaging/healing skills that use magicka it is not recommended if you are going a stamina build. There are a lot of magicka utility skills that are fine.
>>
>>145388283
I just rechecked the wiki and it looks like just about every ability uses magicka, even when you make them do poison damage. I thought they were stamina. I guess I'll need to rethink it.
Is this because you only want to focus on increasing your resource pool for one or does equipment give things like "Increases damage for stamina abilities". I want to use the undaunted spider ability too, but it's stamina.

Also, how much does account name matter? I bought it and it says it will be visible to other players. I don't know how much to autism over this.

Guild membership is accountwide, your dunmer character will share the same guilds with your breton and altmer characters. I think it is the way it is so people can recognize eachother but yeah I think it is actually kind of dumb but nothing you can do about it so worrying about it would be pointless.

It is nice that you are reading up on skills and such. Some skills will require pure magicka and some skills will start as magicka with a possibilty to be morphed into a stamina skill. You gotta figure out which skills you want to use and what do their morphs do and then assign your attributes accordingly. If you are going to use magicka and stamina skills you gotta give points to both of them, if you'll be using stamina more than magicka you can emphasize more on stamina than magicka or vice versa.

You can reset your attributes, skills and morphs from shrines of stendarr and akatosh so don't worry about making mistakes with your build. You can reset them for few thousands of gold (maybe less if your level is low but don't worry if you hold onto your money you'll have 10k+ by the time you are level 20. By the way loot everything that can be sold to merchants and sell them. Five gold is not a lot but when you start selling things you don't need those five golds stack up to impressive amounts until you can wrap your head around player trading. Collect every craft material you find while questing and store the ones you don't need in your bank so you can sell them in a guild store later for a lot of monnies.

Also upgrade your backpack, check your map when you are in a major city and find a pack merchant. You'll need a lot of bag slots and it is a worthy investment even though it gets pretty damn expensive for an early level character after you upgrade it three times.

I don't know how new you are but I hope this info dump helps a bit.

>>
>>145392164

>>
holy shit, so let me see if I got this correct

to sell items, one needs to be in a guild that does trading. this guild will have its own vendor, in which members of that guild can post listings, right?

So each guild trader will have a different stock?

So if I want to buy something from the market, I have to go through every single guild trader, in order to fight what I want/get the best price?

what kind of retarded trading system is this

or is there a hidden "show all listings from all guilds" feature I don't know about?

Each skill has two morphs. A lot of your class skills will have a morph that takes them from being a magicka ability and makes them a Stamina ability instead.

ALL of the dragonknight's poison skills are stamina morphs of fire skills.

>>145399736
>I hate making alts

This game became VERY alt-friendly with the last patch.

Before the last patch, each character had to:

>Complete the main story
>Get to level 50 (On average this takes a little over 1,000,000EXP)
>Get to VR16 (Each VR takes 1,000,000EXP. So, 16 MILLION EXP)
>Get gear

The last patch did away with all of this. Now, the VR grind is replaced by an account leveling system. Once one character hits what used to be VR16, any character you get to level 50 will be VR16.

Oh, I think I was mixing in the Earthen Heart abilities with their poison abilities. I guess they only have like 3. >This uses a similar system to GW2 where you have a bunch of abilities but only so many spaces on your bar, right?

You have two diffrent bars. You swap weapons to switch between bars. So, you can have a Two-Handed bar and then also a Bow bar. Any combo works as long as you stick to Stamina/Magicka weapons.

Each bar has 5 skill slots and then an ultimate skill slot.

>Do weapon skills take space on that bar or is it separate like GW2 as well?

You have to pick and choose, so you might have three skills from your weapon's skill tree and two of your class skills.

>If not can I just mostly skip weapon skills?

Not really. I mean, I do as a Templar mage, but that's because my class skills are generally the best healing skills in the game and I can get away with just using my class skills to DPS as well.

A Two-Handed character is always going to want to use Rally (Morph of Momentum)

A Duel Wielding character will always want to have some morph of whirlwind.

A Bow user will always want to have Poison Injection.

And a Staff user will ALWAY have a few skills from their staff's skill line. (Unless you're a templar healer with a class skill build.)

Pretty much. It's something that ping can fuck up, though. if you're lagging, you're going to take longer to swap bars.

>So it effectively just gives you 10 slots?

You can level and explore while in the nude wielding a level appropriate wooden stick as long as you can dodge well enough.

Build how you want. Enjoy the game. When you start to run dungeons and take on world bosses, worry about being optimal.

It's extremely significant if you want to min/max.

bretons and High Elves make the absolute BEST pure mages in the game, but are complete ass with anything Stamina based.

Nords and Imperials make the best tanks, but are absolute ass at anything magicka based.

Dark Elves are a jack of both trades, but they get a bonus to all fire damage they put out, so they make the best dragonknight mages.

khajiit and bosmer make the best melee DPS (Rivaled only by orcs.) But suck with anything magicka.

>So how big is group play in this?

It's basiclly a single player game unless you're doing dungeons or PvPing.

>If it's standard WoW style endgame

It's not. Endgame is "Here's the whole game. Enjoy it. Do whatever the fuck you want. You have your end-game gear set and you're max level, so you don't have to grind anymore. Just enjoy the fucking game."

End game is just whatever you want to do. I run maybe one dungeon a week if I feel like it. It's just fun for me.

Most people just roam around and quest/explore just like in other TES games.

Pretty soon, this will happen: http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/2016/06/12/matt-firors-message-from-be3

Which will make it even more like a normal TES game. You'll just be able to explore the whole world from level 1, and at max level you'll start getting max level rewards from everything.

So, basiclly, a max level character will be able to group up with a level 1 character and they'll be able to enjoy the same content. Not even faction will matter unless you're in the PvP zone because the whole world will be open to you.

Not optimal since the strength of your bow will be based on your stamina while your pets will be based on your magicka.

Consider getting an ice staff instead and do something like this.

Pet sorcs are top-tier healers. They have better burst heals than templars. The twilight is essential a stronger and cheaper breath of life.

first decide on if you are going magic based or stamina based
>>

off to /tesg/ with you
>>
I can't fucking decide what class to play. Summoner seems boring. I fuck fire magic, Maybe the rogue one? Fuck
>>
90% of class abilities work off magicka
Almost every weapon uses stamina

So does everyone just use staff? I don't understand how this game works.
>>
>>145433508

What are the primary differences between the two other than where the source for damage comes from? Are there more melee oriented versus ranged abilities between them?
>>
>>145437561
>90% of class abilities work off magicka
Have you checked the morphs for the skills
>>
>>145437561
No. Anyone using a staff will typically just be magicka based and use magicka morphs and staff abilities.

Stamina classes will just morph whatever abilities have stamina morphs and then fill the rest with buffs as well as abilities under weapon skill trees like dual wield for example if that's what you're asking.

If I'm new and looking to get into ESO, what addons are recommended?
>>
So fellas, I find myself having a bit of a problem. I just recently really started getting into this game.
Problem is I kind of neglected most of my crafting skills.

Before DB hit I was vr 5. Now I'm at the CP cap and would really like to get into pvp, but like I said my crafting skills are trash. I know they provide a lot of benefits so I want to know if there's a good way to powerlevel alchemy, enchanting, and provisioning.
>>
>>145369641
Ayo hol up, there is a campaign that has the champ point system disabled altogether?
In that case, nice, I never liked the idea of superlong grind for tiny bonuses that add up anyway.
>>
>>145439283
Yep, there's nothing forcing anyone to play PvP with champion points enabled.
>>
Is this game worth the $59.99?

I like how it features ALL of Tamriel.
>>
>>145439214
Not that I know off, outside of just making a lot of potions and food of the highest and rarest kind you can possibly make. Not sure that potions with 3 ingredients give you more XP than with 2, however. Don't think so.

Enchantment is easiest powerleveled with a friend; make blue enchantments and trade them with each other, then extract each others enchantment (since deconstructing stuff you made yourself don't give a lot of inspiration).
>>
>>145439214
Power leveling enchanting will be a pain in the ass, just leveling it normally takes a while, without a fellow enchanting friend to help you'll likely be deconning a lot of glyphs you find.

Power leveling Alchemy is incredibly easy, just buy a stack of two cheap alchemy reagents and solvent and you'll get it up to 50 in no time.

Provisioning is pretty much the same but you'll need a recipe and it'll take a bit longer to power level.

I can probably provide you mats for alchemy and provisioning after I finish up getting one of my characters to level 50 if you want.
>>
Is there a monthly fee for this game?
>>
>>145439724
OP have links to better deals. And it doesn't feature all of Tamriel.
>>
>>145440060
Does it feature Cyrodiil, Skyrim, Hammerfall, Morrowind, and Elsewhyr?
>>
>>145439967
Nope.
>>
>>145440141
Yea but not all of em. It only features the northwest tip of Elsewhyr. And Skyrim is split into two kingdoms, whereas only the east one are part of the game. And so on.
>>
>>145439935
Yo lemme get in on this

I need to raise my alchemy to 50

Are you NA PC?
>>
What's the easiest dungeon? I'm gonna try out my solo pet build.

Is there a lore guide for the current setting and time in ESO that would give an idea of what the various races would know and have experienced as well as what year it is?
>>
>>145441241
Don't know about a guide, but there are good videos on youtube about those things.
>>
>>145441084
Yes but I'm still leveling. I'm gonna finish up one of the final story quests and that should get me to 50.
>>
Is the blade of woe an actual equippable dagger or is it a slot item type thing?
>>
>>145441241
Yeah the quests for each faction deal with this somewhat, or you can check the 2nd era timeline uesp.

Recent events would be the akaviri invasion, the knahaten flu, ransers rebellion, the formation of the alliances, and of course the plane meld. You could look those up.
>>
>>145441857
It works as a synergy. You don't get it, you summon it when you want to use it.
>>
>>145439935
I have one alt crafting glyphs for another I'm leveling.
I had a stockpile of runes large enough to make about 300-400 glyphs of various levels up to about lvl 50. All were white, (Ta). I went from about lvl 12 to lvl 32 in enchanting in a few minutes of crafting and deconning.
>>
Is the game worth trying? been looking for an MMO and I've been hearing alot of the problems with TESO have been fixed. I've played pretty much every mmo around already
>>
>>145444364
buy it and tell us your findings
>>
>>145377598
When are they going to release or use the music they use in the trailers anyway? It's in the intro as well and it's great yet it's nowehere to be fund and it's never used in-game.
>>
>>145445798
Do you mean the eso theme song?
>>
>>145445902
Yea. The main theme is played at 4 places afaik, in the character selec screen, in "tides of the abecean sea" and during the intro when you make a new character. However in the trailers they always make pretty decent versions of it that they never use ingame. And it's bothering me because I really don't like the character select theme

Here they use it again, at the end.

>>145444364
I like it but you're just gonna get biased answers here.

Best place would probably be to read and see people's review of the console version, since those reviews are more up to date regarding content and bug fixes.
>>
>>145446162
>>145444364
Don't mislead him. You'll get better answers here then googling as most of the reviews are outdated. What i would suggest is looking up gameplay videos of something that interest you.
I bought eso from sale few months back and i've been enjoying myself ever since. If you have disposable money then by all means buy it. It's only 20€/$ from the links provided in OP.

Hey im fairly new what are the best addons for making a minimalist UI? Also any others you would reccomend
>>
>>145447174
I use addons so that the UI wouldn't be so minimal.
>>
>>145447174
As someone who also likes minimal UI, I'm not sure what you could really want to do to it, it's minimal as fuck already.
>>

>It's trash is PvP

I've seen some people start to the use the Clannfear more recently with some survival setups. Not for the damage really but for the pretty suck activated ability. If pets didn't die if you don't have the ability on both bars (like if there was a grace period between switching bars before it dies) and scaled with the higher of stam or magicka then they might see more use to be honest. Well the pathing would still be utter shit but still.

There's FTC that's fairly customizable. You can make the bars look as big or small as you want, show percentage or numbers, whatever you want. There's one floating around called "immerser UI" or something like that.
>>
>>145449512
I think weapon damage/flame is better than 2 weapon damage, since 2x weapon damage don't stack.

Say they manage to implement spellcrafting before we all die of old age. There will probably be forced to do something for stamina characters or people will be royally pissed.

What would you call this stamina-based spell-crafting and how would you justify it? Make the Vestige a sword-singer able to form their Shehai? Have specialized weapons you wear and costumize but only use when you cast said ability, like the crossbow?
>>
>>145450385
it's more for the 100% uptime than anything else, personally i think that outweighs the flame damage, even if on a dk.
>>
>>145450405
I have no idea how they could even implement spellcrafting into a mmo without completely fucking with what ever semblance of balance we could ever have.
>>
>>145450549
They balance spellcrafting the same way they balance enchants, weapon skills, guild skills and world skills which are also available to everyone?
>>
>>145452253
Bit more complex than that, I mean you either give a gimp ass version so that nobody create OP spells or you give full control and the game RIP itself. I mean what would stop me from just turning every spell I want into a fucking 10 second stun AOE with 10k+ burst spamable damage and 2k a second DOT on the end.
>>
>>145452675
I think it's obvious that it will be a gimp-ass version of some kind. Maybe like poisons where the more effects the weaker each effect will be?

From what we know the spells will have a basis that you then modify to your liking. So you won't be able to put everything and their mother on the same spell.

There's only 2 ways how it will end up:
Its OP as fuck and everyone will use it OR
its weak as fuck and no one will use it
>>
>>145453173
Spellcrafting was confirmed cancelled/no longer being developed, too difficult to balance.
