Lack of divine weapon wielders. In Conquest this is especially egregious since Hoshido is without them so the country would fall fast followed up by Nohr. In Birthright, Nohr would fall, but not quickly since Leo is still around with his divine weapon to somewhat stem the invisible tide.

She's great when trained. The only downside is investing in a seal early game with limited funds, but it's still a good investment. Having a Sniper in Conquest is super useful since Niles unfortunately falls off lategame. She can also pass aptitude to someone like Velouria and have her good as well.

Corrin doesn't need a reclass that early unless you're trying to buff up his Lance rank for some reason, and your servant won't be level 15 until you get the next shop upgrade. Same for Selena, her reclass is only good for Rally Speed, which she won't get immediately.

In Chapter 8, Cav Corrin guarantees a max-gold clear since you can slap Elise behind her and Freeze the Soldier turn 1 due to the added mobility. Corrin NEEDS the reclass to pull this off.
Cav also warrants Corrin more mobility, Lances, and Elbow Room. These all completely destroy Mozu's "I can go from a unit with shit enemy phase to a unit with NO enemy phase!"

Mozu has natural lance ranks for GK. Especially if you used her without reclassing her until 14 which people have done before.
As I said Niles is more utility than a combat unit. Kaze does what Niles does but is a Ninja with WTA over mages and better skills for combat. All Niles can hope for is to killsteal on other units in order for him to grab EXP. Mozu once she gets going can even weaken/kill Swordmasters/Onmyojis despite WTD thanks to Certain Blow as well as guaranteed hitting of agile foes which Conquest has no shortage of.
And don't forget that Niles is locked to a bow as well so he has no enemy phase as well.
