After replaying trespasser, I noticed something weird about the epilogue.
It just seems really unlikely that Solas would get that much support from the elves for his plan. Dalish elves likely wouldn't have believed him about the truth of the evanuris, as it had been implied that he tried to explain everything to them before, and while city elves might be more open to getting their heritage back, I don't see them staying once they've been told what his full plan is, they want better lives for themselves and elves living now, not to all die in raw flaming chaos for the elves that lived ages ago.
I get that some would join, elves who have lost all hope for their people finding a real place in Thedas and who don't have anyone they want to survive, but not in the number the epilogue implies.

I get that, it's just weird, I don't really see the motivation behind joining Solas, unless the elves that join up literally just aren't told about the full extent of his plan.
Like I said, most city elves are only really looking to make a better life for themselves and/or their families, and I doubt that a huge amount would join Solas if they knew all living beings in Thedas would be wiped out to make way for the old elves that they had never even known about, that goes a bit beyond what most of them would be willing to fight and die for.

I never really thought about that, but I guess it holds some weight, some of the spirits in the fade are the fractured souls of the ancient elves aren't they? Or something along that line, so having vessels might be necessary for them to become physical again.
Though the way Solas described the world being changed by the destruction of the veil made it seem like everyone was going to burn up in 'the raw chaos' as in like, physically dying, not vacating their bodies or anything.

Remember that sarcophagus storage in Trespasser? I think this is the room for keeping sleeping (read uthenered) elves safe, the similar chamber was present in TME on the Deep Roads. Who knows how many of such storages are in Thedas. And this is not even a fragmented souls, they're unaltered, wandering around the Fade so you can easily put it in the vessel IF the vessel agrees, otherwise it'll turn into an abomination, see Flemeth speech.

In fact, in that case demons wouldn't really have any need to possess people because they only do so in order to exist in the 'real world'

We've seen independent codex entries and physical proof that the dalish were incorrect about the 'trickster god' interpretation of Fen'harel and that he was indeed more known as the god of rebellion, even though, as we know now, the whole god thing in and of itself were just titles to scare normal elves, it was just one of the billion other things that the Dalish hadn't interpreted properly.

Except it wasnt? It was a gradual build of power from the breach, which, like Solas says drives any spirits that go through it insane and turns them into demons. And, like I said, it's made clear that there is still some kind of separation from the fade and the real world because we still see there are tears in the veil there.
Solas was going to use the orb to enter the fade physically and destroy the veil entirely in one go, I imagine doing so would be less traumatic to the fade and the spirits there, even if it would have killed everyone in the real world.

A lair, yes, not a trickster, and as for that, it worked along with his plan of letting Thedas live in some relative peace before he kills everyone as quickly as possible, in this sense, him lying to the inquisition isn't a direct violation of his ideology, even if it is bad. It's not really comparable to lying to all of your followers about what you're going to do and who you are, these people are literally working FOR Solas towards his goal, and I can't imagine he would lie directly to them and pretend he's a real god and that he's going to lead them to their lost civilization or whatever, that's going entirely against what he was trying to teach the elves before he created the veil, as well as the fact that these elves working for him now are much more directly working for him to destroy all the modern peoples in Thedas.
