Yeah, his fundamentals are really bad. Just randomly throwing out moves, honestly he played like I played when I first got the game even though he has more hours than me. He knows combos for every character but they're not very good combos. It's still better than me, though. I literally only played Cerebella for most of my playtime and only recently picked up Eliza and Fukua and I only know a few combos for Eliza + one combo for Fukua I don't even know most of the commands for any other character. That's why I described him as a jack of all trades, he's not good but he knows a little bit about every character which will help him.
I'm thinking he started playing the game for fun and only recently started learning how to get better. When I first met him, he was so focused on learning how to get a Valentine combo with like a billion hits, not knowing about things like how OTGs or restands or Undizzy worked.
I just feel bad when I can beat him using a character I started learning five minutes ago.

Well, here. I can explain better with pic-related.
As you can see, that's Mariel on the right. She's the quiet, soft-spoken one who is a genius at what she does (In Mariel's case, it's drawing cute girls), but is also very hard on herself which makes it seem like she's under a lot of stress. She has always been the lone Heroine of Lab Zero. Cristina Vee and the other VAs don't really count because they're more like the supporting cast, the big sister types/Senpais/comic reliefs/friends.
But now Francesca has debuted for Season 2 as Mariel's new potential friend and rival. And it's someone else who compliments her personality. And you guessed it, that's Francesca on the left in the pic. Spunky, bubbly, go-getter, very positive and outgoing, she's the type you'd want to be managing or overseeing production, making sure everyone stays motivated and on task, but does it in a way that inspires the team to work harder without feeling too stressed out.
It's all about adding to the pool of current heroines so that it's more than just one best girl by default. So it's way too early to start a rivalry just yet because the season hasn't even started. We need a few episodes and possibly more character tropes filled before we start any new waifu wars in the third dimension.Vee > both

I never got the appeal of Squigly, the shape of her head is just way too cartoony compared to the rest of the cast. In fact, nothing about her appeals to me. The Doctor Seuss stripes, the frayed sleeves, the zombie features, the shoulderless shirt, her weird-ass hair, her voice, her body type. Leviathan is cool but that's really it. Wish I could understand why she's so popular.

Everyone has cartoony proportions. On top of that you can see that Squig's headshape is actually an average between Peacock's and the older characters--with a rounder jaw like Patricia's but taller cranium like the others-- which makes sense because she's physically aged inbetween them.

Younger characters have less chiseled features by design. Even Marie has similar traits, but no official model sheet or age to compare.

You can't use strictly your own perception, or realistic anatomy, as barometers for this kind of analysis, because then similar logic issues arise if you compare something like Filia's face to Parasoul's. As cartoons you have to primarily go by the artists' logic.
The hard fact is that Peacock and Squigly are currently listed as the two youngest playable characters (13 & 14), and evidence shows that they share purposefully drawn features that reflect that trait. Their youth is treated as significant to their backstories, so with all of the development put behind them, it'd be silly to believe that the artists didn't have a deliberate intent behind those details.
In Marie's case, while she shares similarities, we can't really use her to compare, since we don't know her official DOB (she might be closer to Carol's age than Squigly) and her ingame assets weren't created under the same process as the other characters. Her game sprite actually has a different face shape her Lineup art, for example, which could be altered if she was redrawn as a complete character.
For similar reasons, we can't use Umbrella's story artwork as a fair comparison either, even though right now she also reinforces the "younger age=rounder face" trait shared by Peacock and Squigly. Hopefully one day we'll be able to compare these characters' official model sheets.

The difference between Peacock and Squigly is that Peacock's design is 100% reflective of a cartoon character. The Mickey Mouse eyes, the way she moves, etc. It's also supported by the fact that she's kind of a robot.
Squigly is young, sure, but teenagers have chins. If she were young enough to have such babyish facial features she wouldn't have a developed body type. If you looked at Squigly at a glance, you could NOT tell she's fourteen.
Just giving her even a tiny chin makes her look so much better and doesn't take anything away from the design.

That's the point I was making, There's a nearly 10-year wide gap between them. If you think it's a problem that a 14 year old doesn't look "fourteen", why is it okay for a 25 year old's face to resemble a 16 year old's? I certainly don't look like how I did in highschool, but we're not the ones setting the rules here. If Alex decrees that an undead 14 year old in SG can have wide hips and a baby face, then that's how it is. If anything, that face is the key feature that separates a 14yo from a 15yo in SG world, the same way Para and Val's heights are the only features that really distinguish their age next to Filia. (busts don't count bcuz Fortune)

Hello, remember the chart? Every SG character is 100% cartoon. All of them have inhuman head shapes, small necks, and wildly proportioned bodies. Squigly isn't breaking anymore core design rules than the other characters do.

Look, you're not the king of all character design. An Art director isn't going to hand you a medal for adding cheekbones and nostrils on a character, even if "teenagers have them." Alex Ahad made a deliberate decision to give Squigly a round chin, and it's re-iterated in every angle of the character's model sheet. If you were an animation contractor on the team, you'd just have to accept that design decision, and deal with it.
But frankly, I think your change is so minor that I'm amazed you're bothered by the proper version anyway.
