Well, in my opinion, that you didn't ask for, overall Xcom2 is better than EU, sure the strategy layer is more dumbed down, but that's the only thing it does worse than EU. Everything else is better.

And either way, it's one thing to criticize the game(which has always been done in these threads) is an entirely different thing to shitpost for 8 hours about how it's unforgivably shit and everyone is wrong for having fun with it.

That has not been my experience. Often when I dash often as possible and blue move every turn while trying to clear pods I barely make it to evac in time.

I couldn't really imagine slowing down for a turn because unpredictable mishaps could lead to the entire squad being left behind.

For standard "kill all" Guerilla ops you should have at least a 3 turn buffer, pushing up next to something thats about to explode will simply slow you down. For straight to Evac missions you should also have the buffer, for pick up the VIP missions running tight is about right

Is there any balanced Marathon-style mod out there?
I tried a longer campaign one on the workshop but enemies progressed too slow, your main squad ended being gods without much effort on your part if you survived a few hours.

Preferably one that plays nice with A Better ADVENT and other enemy mods.

Someone asked to see my mod list a day or two ago. Sorry I didn't deliver at the time, got hammered at work and passed out when I got home.

Here are the mods I'm currently running. I tried adding the Killzone Unleashed mod to see if that helped, but they're missing just as much as ever.
I'm now at 114 missed shots with Kill Zone.

I've tried it with half a dozen snipers so it's not just one team member that's having an issue. They're missing shots that have every accuracy mod I know of - high ground, class skills, tracer rounds, superior Aim PCS etc. - on flanked targets.

Shit anon thats rough, literally 20 minutes ago I had a sniper kill 6 ayys in a double pod activation with kill zone so there's definitely something breaking your game.

Have you tried the pasta fix?

Having problems? Try going to My Games/XCOM2/XComGame/Config and deleting everything inside (if you have the uniform manager mod, then delete everything except XComUniforms.ini). Now verify your cache.

If you still have issues look for mods that might be in conflict (the alternative launcher in the OP should show any conflicts).

Still having problems? Wanna try a longshot? Make a backup of your saves, character pool, and uniforms (if you have them/care). Then delete My Games/XCOM2. This is something of a long shot, but it has worked in the past.

Ha, yeah I meant in real life. Honestly looking that that list, Killzone Unleashed looks the most suspicious. Released recently, almost no feedback, and updated recently on June 7th as well.

Though I would have to think you may have thought of that already, but just in case...

I tried using it to see if it made any changes to the issues I was already having. I missed something like 72 shots before trying it with that mod. So I'm pretty sure that's not the problem.

Try verifying your cache to see if that fixes it. If it doesn't I recommend following the fix pasta. I found that it fixes about 95% of problems.

Hey anon, I'm the guy who asked!

1) First of all, having that many unused mods is known to cause issues if you've ever had them active at any point, better to manually unsubscribe via steam. XCOM2 is funny like that, it keeps them "kind of" on. I don't THINK that's what's causing your issue specifically, but do it for good measure.

2) After that definitely do the fix-everything pasta this guy suggested >>144936802, I don't know how many times it's saved my ass.

3) I think you said you installed Killzone Unleashed after you started encountering the issue, but do some testing without it if you got it before those misses started popping up.

4) I looked all over your modlist for any other mods which could in some way impact Killzone, but didn't find any except AWC Cost & Other Fixes, but it's a long shot that that would be the cause.

5) After trying all these, if it still doesn't work try it on a new campaign and see if it is any different.

What you should also do if nothing at all works and you just want to test is create a sniper with 999 aim or something then let him have a go, see if he still misses.

You could character pool 'em all if they're on Tier 1 armor, otherwise it's going to be a bit of a bitch. Once you've saved them all, go into your character pool and save them into a single importable pool. Then go to (usually) this directory depending on where you put your documents C:\Users\your-username\Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\CharacterPool\Importable\ and back your importable pool up.

Reinstall and there you go. I'm not even sure you have to do this, as character pools seem to be kept when you uninstall via Steam. Same with saves.

No biggie, a lot of /xcg/ have broken their games so many times that by now troubleshooting XCOM2 is second nature.

Consensus is that geoscape lag is caused by certain conflicting mods, so uninstalling all of your redundant/unused ones is probably your best bet.

Also, I just realized that it's definitely worth trying it without EU Aim Rolls with the Killzone thing. It's a long shot, but hey.

The uninstall process should be to first do it via right clicking and choosing delete local content from steam library, then removing any leftovers in [steam dir]/steamapps/common/xcom2

It will remember all your subscriptions, tested it. Trying that theory out was a nervous moment.

Actually did it earlier when I was having a super-weird issue causing crashes out of nowhere, so I did a pure reinstall and all my subscriptions were still there.

Just in case anybody else has ever had spooky crashes with zero information in any crash log and no discernible error message beyond "application has crashed", after two months it turned out it was my CPU overclock the whole time. XCOM2 didn't agree with it.
