Figured it was his first quest battle and it wouldn't be that hard so showed up with a bunch of boyz and arrer boyz with some trolls and biguns for cleanup because I hadn't teched up to any of the elite cavalry, monsters , or Black orcs yet.
Got royally fucked then came back 20 turns later with 4 black orcs and 2 giants replacing my boyz and just ran the giants at the chaos army while i fought the undead.

Two Waagh Stacks. Grimgor and Azhag's stacks. All pouring into attack Iron Rock. I had to defend the lands from an endless green tide.
A 20/20 stack of dwarfs in the end was 5/20. The Catapult operators were fighting in melee on that last battle after Ungrim was assassinated in between the four battles. So the end was just the Lord and the operators fighting in melee before the final victory came down.
It was the most dire event I've even had in a campaign honestly. The tide of Greenskins was so massive. I've never fought so long against one enemy in so many waves before.

It is a great game but imo it doesn't have enough content yet. Like I've put about 50 hours in so far so it was worth the money I spent since I still have an ongoing chaos campaign but it really just needs to have more stuff going on in the end game instead of fighting back chaos in a glorious war then rolling over the other factions with doomstacks. I just wanna see some end game stuff like hordes of beastmen uniting under their leaders and Waaghs that scale into endgame and the orcs coded to sweep north. Like an Orc Waagh should be 4 stacks of utter trash units with monsters spread throughout.
Like maybe a cycling set of endgame events so of like a set of 8 you get 2 random ones that happen on pre-set turns that can't occur if you are playing the faction. Like on turn 100 you could get Archaon coming from the north but you could also get lahmians uncovering their master plan and armies of undead popping up in every province or Orcs pouring out of the mountains.

I would rather have the Dwarves not restore, but I'm not going to lose this tremendous amount of gold. And frankly, the case could be made to let them protect themselves against the Orcs. They'd probably wipe them out pretty quick.
