Not true at all, I just look for opportunities to attack where and when I can. When someone pulls out the parry item I punish parry whiffs acting like I'm going to R1. If they catch on to me not running R1'ing I'll actually hit them with a running R1. I mean, broadsword is short as fuck, I have to get close and pick my moments. The 1HR2 is also really good for catching rolls.
But no, this is hardly a turtle build. It's a use-a-shield-to-get-in-close-enough-to-attack build. It's just that obviously people are going to parry R1 spam, is that what you want me to do?

Dedicated means "designed for use with a caster build. Witch's Locks are a perfect example. MLGS is another. Moonlight Butterfly Spear in DaS1 is another example. DaS2 had several things like this.

Keep the Zwei, drop the Drakeblood. No items lost or anything, but you might want to level up a bit. Your build is probably shit though, might want to post it.
Just get a different faster weapon for other situations, depending on your build a Carthus Curved Sword or Dark Sword might be the best.

It doesn't "allow" anything. In DaS1, you had a choice between lockon and freeaim. In DaS2, you're forced to freeaim because lockon is broken and doesn't work

Again, this is an objective downgrade from DaS1. In DaS1, you could roll away while locked on, an if you did a rolling attack at the end of that roll it would be aimed at your target. In DaS2, the attack aims in the direction you rolled.
This isn't a "feature". It doesn't help you in any way. It's just bad game design.
