The vita will be supported for far longer then that as it is a platform that developers in japan land are now comfortable with. Assuming Sony doesn't go in on portables for a long time, the vita won't actually see a removal of support as it's the perfect place to put games that don't "belong" on consoles such as most DRPG's.
I needn't remind you that the playstation 2 was still receiving games into the PS3's life cycle. The PS1 into the PS2's and the PSP to the Vita. Also compare the dreamcast, which having been officially discontinued in 2001 was still actively developed until 2006 and still put games out like Border Down in 2007.
Going on previous examples alone, support for the Vita won't be drying up in the foreseeable future even IF Sony announced another console.

All of my game concepts are centered around anime people doing anime stuff, be it slice-of-life or basic contemporary RPG stuff, so yes, I would say.
PC is always a viable platform option, but I've always wanted to make games for portable consoles because I grew up adoring them immensely (even though I never owned one since my parents were really against video games, for some reason). But now that I'm older and would be theoretically capable of making my own games, portables are dying because of the sickening mobile craze with free-to-play games and the changed business atmosphere in general. I hate how things have turned out for portable consoles, but it's not like it's going to change anymore. In fact, I think it will only get worse and because of that I would love to be able to make my games for Vita.

Bad writing, some shit makes no sense, characters just assume people are bad guys and bad guys can't pretend to be half decent human beings for two minutes just to get shit done. Typically bad Japanese video game writing, but honestly the characters are fun and cool. The combat is boring as shit and the enemies have HUGE hp pools, so it feels like you are hitting them with nerf bats, you can pour 30% of your mana into regular mobs and not kill them, but I am playing on hard. The camera gives me motion sickness, what they did is, the camera is set a rigid distance from the ground so any bumbs or texture makes the camera go up and down like a car with no suspension.
You pretty much need to pause every few attacks to pump mana items because your regular attacks are useless and even skills don't do enough damage.
There are way too many enemies and allies on the sceen doing soo many things there is no real rhythm to the game, combat is just a mess, I beat most bosses with the exact same attack, its just mashing the same attack over and over. Ai is useful but at the same time it feels like you are doing soo little because of how much is going on.
I do love the art, voice acting, setting and set pieces, too bad most of the maps are glorified hallways.
I put 13 hours into trails in the sky and enjoyed. Don't even remember why i stopped playing.
