LoR is doable but the 3rd stage needs a tank, even inaros works by then thanks to ev trin still being able to bless to 100% hp. nm is the same but you will need more shit bless that before to compensate for the poor DR.

Maim is very easy to store, webm related. You pretty much only need to kill a few units (or a single heavy in this case) in order to completely wipe out regular units
and of course Maim stores all damage done by your team also

"Experimentation" is for players who have the time and resources to do that
Most players have working with a limited set of resources - slots, mods, prime farming, etc. - and telling them to "go experiment" is silly because they're running the huge risk of wasting their resoruces. Imagine if someone wanted to know if Atlas was good, then you tell him "lol go experiment" and he spents all his plat/mods on leveling up Archwing to kill the boss to drop hits parts, then dumps a shitload of forma in Atlas and a melee weapon, and then realizes Atlas was fucking garbage

Players who want to follow the meta, who want to use good efficient frames, who don't want to dump resources into something they'll regret, will use the guide
Players who want to do whatever they want and dump 100 forma into Oberon are going to do exactly that
Giving more information to people is never a bad thing, unless that information is inaccurate (as it is in the OP)

From a business PoV, yes
One of the most important factors for a F2P game is to continue to bring in new players. We know for a fact DE has decent quality statistics tracking so it would be easy enough for them to take a look at internal data showing where new players quit and never come back. It's probably a factor in why NPE is being looked at yet again.
But also from a business standpoint... They've made so many fucking mistakes and players keep forgiving them. It's amazing. The current iteration of the NPE is nearly pointless and does a poor job of preparing the player for the rest of the game. The current iteration of the Star Chart is absolutely terrible for attracting new players and giving players a reason to log back in. Then you have the issues of the Trials which are buggy messes meant to showcase DE's "end game" which cost a great deal in development time and resources only to be met with a meh reaction by the community (though I am one of the few that run it regularly). So what did they decide to do for end-game instead? Scale up levels, re-use assets, add some time-limited rewards and voila you have Sorties. Not to mention anything related to balance at all. DE is incapable of that.
There's a huge list of things DE has done wrong and they're just barely now realizing their mistakes after a few years have past. They have financial incentives to improve, but seeing their track record they'll just allocate resources to the wrong things and begin the cycle anew.
