D.Va feels to me like a real Jack of All Trades that takes a special playstyle just to function (a playstyle you just have to learn because it's a bit unique and not very forgiving to mistakes) while still being outclassed in every category.

The system breaks down pretty heavily at the top skill levels due to a much smaller player pool and because they're doing matchmaking for a whole bunch of other criteria at the same time. However, top level play and the complaints of top players is very visible due to twitch streaming and that influences the wider playerbase even though the practical impact on them may be much smaller. It legitimately does suck for really good players, but people will look for every opportunity to be able to blame the system that's "rigged" against them for their own losses.

If you're relying on your team to get things done as D.Va you're playing her wrong. She has fantastic mobility and spends most of the match on her own. You go and harass idiot snipers who don't unscope when they're being shot, you gain meter and allahu akbar into where the other idiot enemies are all grouped up, run around and hit them with your stupid range on your gun until you have enough meter to get the mech back.
She really needs to not be in the tank section, she's not good at it to begin with.

The biggest sign a shitter doesn't know how to play Overwatch is when he starts talking about D.Va and starts mentioning "hurr damage is low" or "hurr I can 1v1 her" or "hurr headbox size". They're talking about her already in a fight.
She can literally pick any fight she wants on the map every 5 seconds. Can she win a fight against a Mercy who's at 50 health? Sure! Fly at her and kill her! Can she win a fight 5v3 against some shitters trying to take her point? Sure! Fly at the point and help defend! Can she win a fight against a Reaper shooting her in the face? No! Fly away and go do something else!
Granted she has the same role as Winston, he also does all these things, but she has some different tools with her ult and shield. It's still sad seeing /owg/ completely misunderstanding the point of the game and start talking about irrelevant shit like 1v1 damage.
