Press on. Pieri with Armored Blow is well worth it, and Paladin only has a 3 point high spd cap. Since she'd get +1 spd on class change, that leaves her 5 levels to get 2 points of spd with a 60% growth. Statistically, she'd get 3 points of spd, so don't worry about not hitting the cap.

People tend to rate a character's use by how quickly it can kill things. I'm not sure if it's because of casual mode or what, but it causes people to underestimate a lot of defensive powerhouses. I still can't believe there are actually people who think the Dragonstone+ is bad.

I used her as an Oni Cheiftan and equipped her with a bolt axe. It wasn't super powerful, but it had decent damage output and made a great defense weapon since she could also soften up ranged attacks with her counterattacks, without having to worry much about throwing weapon's downsides. Counter and Death Blow are also great.

The combination of wacky characters with actual death really just doesn't go to well together when you think about it for even a little.
So I saw this brought up yesterday, so I looked a bit more into the Mozu vs Laslow thing that was brought up.
Mozu w/ Iron Lance and Strength Tonic at level 12 with C rank is 22 Atk to Laslow's 24 Atk with an Iron Sword and Strength Tonic, which isn't really a big gap when you consider that Mozu doubles more. Can't say if level 12 is fair for Mozu or not, but from what I've heard it probably is.
Mozu wins against the Diviners (minus Orochi because lol Calamity Gate) due to doubling when paired with Kaze or Arthur (19-20 AS vs 13-14 which results in an ORKO on all of them) as well as being able to use the Javelin, unlike Laslow who can't double the ones with Speed Boosts and thus can't ORKO them even with Steel (he also specifically needs a Kaze pairup to double). Mozu also has 1-2 range via Javelins.
Against the Cavs Mozu probably wins due to not facing WTD and doubling without a Buffer. I'm not going to count the Beastkiller for her since the chances of her getting it over Camilla or Peri or Corrin are slim, but without it she can cleanly 2RKO with Steel at 25 Atk since she can double with it if she has a Speed buffer, unilke Laslow; you need 16 AS to double the Cavs and Laslow caps out at 18 on the map, 21 if Azura is level 10 but there's a slim chance
that's the case yet.
Laslow wins against Wyverns due to WTA and doubling even with his Steel Sword with a Kaze pairup (18 AS vs 10 on the Wyverns), but the chance of them not just getting blown away by Niles are slim and investing in a Wyrmslayer is kind of pointless when this is actually the last map in Conquest you fight Wyverns on for pretty much the rest of the game.
Knights are (lol, Laslow wins due to Armorslayer but again they kind of suck.
So overall I think Mozu>Laslow might be fair. Mozu's leads are slight but tip it in her favour, since with Steel she doubles as much as Laslow with Iron and has a better time in the WT and 1 more Atk at that point.

Hey guys I have a few questions about Flora for my next spotlight review since she edged in a win on the last strawpoll.
Do her base stats, level and weapon rankings depend on how far you've already progressed when you get her or does it depend on the difficulty setting? Does your path affect her stats at all?
I keep reading that she starts off at lvl 5, but the pic related is the Flora I JUST received on a Hard mode Rev file, final chapter, so the conflicting evidence is making me wonder if everyone just has a different Flora at the start.
She's an interesting but oddly acquired character whom I've never personally used, so I'd love any insight for this next summary. Her base stats are pretty off the hook, so she's definitely worth the cover, but I'd like it to be as accurate as possible.
I wonder if Siegbert reincarnates into Crumb, would the next ruler of Nohr be a Nohr!Lucina? And would Siegbert be allergic to thunder due to what happens to his reincarnation Crumb?

I just really want to know where the trend of theory-crafting Mozu against pretty much every Conquest character during their join stage / just after their join stage comes from.
I'm not even going to flip the "efficiency" switch and make this about optimization.
There's literally no other character that we talk about in where for some reason we take for granted that they have been given 10+ levels worth of kills, 2 ranks of weapon proficiency, tonic investment from almost their join point and being guaranteed their preferred pair-up partner.
Does Aptitute really hold this much sway over us when comparing units? It's the only thing I can think of that would justify this kind of singling-out / special treatment of Mozu.

This has only happened against Odin and Laslow so far and neither of those are exactly considered "good" either.
It's fair to compare level 12 Mozu to base Laslow because that's around the level they'll be when both are existing, assuming Mozu has been in play. This is something that can be done for pretty much any unit, not just Mozu.For the record I think Mozu loses badly to Peri on the same token at this point.

Only people who are highly skilled at Fire Emblem use Mozu. Casuals are worried about exclusively using all the best units so they can have the easiest possible time with the game desu

Shit, I don't even know why I'm responding anymore. Literally hundreds of collective hours have been spent on this general arguing about the Villager, when it's so unbelievably fucking simple.
