Sometimes the exact same skill can have a different name on two character, then the books don't work.
Sometimes, characters have the same skill with the same name, then you can feed either one or their skillbooks to anyone with the same skill name.
Characters keep their skill level after evolution, if the skill keeps the same name.

Jaya because it basically embodies the spirit of the whole story in a few short chapters/episodes: the dream, romanticism for adventure, and it has one of the strongest scenes on the series where Blackbeard is encouraging Luffy after the bar scene. Biggest piece of foreshadowing in the series imo.
