I researched everything on the KT. Going from an elite KT to a stock E75, the only thing you can immediately mount is the short 105. Beyond that, you need 51,800 XP to get the next package, which has the long 105. The reason it's so fucking expensive is because the package also includes the engine and tracks.
So yeah. I had to earn 52k XP on an E75 using the short 105.
