I kind of want to read it if only because, as I've said, they could salvage it if chapter 1 is like a prophecy, and the chapter ends with the Toad Sage talking to Naruto about it, but warns not to interfere with Boruto's life too heavily or worse things could happen. Then the series revolves around the choices Boruto makes and whether he comes closer to or moves further away from the prophecy that the Toad Sage foresaw.

Blood Prison decided to give Naruto back his cool edgy red coat with the black flames, had a Gamabunta fight scene, had Naruto use one of Jiraiya's original signature techniques in a stealth context, and generally looked real pretty.
