The bad guy characters (like Asgore, Asriel and Flowey for example) in this game are for the most part more memorable and likable then the good guys (like Undyne, Toriel) anyways aside from Papyrus who is perfect

The antagonist was collecting it for what were assumed to be nefarious ends but is revealed to be suicidal and more sympathetic than his crimes would suggest. Papyrus and Luigi both call themselves "The Great _____". It's alright to have share certain generic plot elements but if you share certain unique plot points too it becomes questionable. And I never said that this was a plagiarism suit. Toby can certainly draw influence from other games but it can be a matter of debate if he drew too heavily.
