Maybe it's trying to get a group of friends to hang out with. I tried getting involved or making a small group of friends for AC once because sometimes (not every time) it's more fun to play some parts of the game with other people. However most people in their free time just play 1-2 hours a day and then do something else, non-gaming related of course.

I heard that people experience that thing called "loneliness" but I can't speak for myself. I never experienced that. In my free time, I enjoy spending my time alone in a basement with my games. Of course, like I mentioned above, some activities are more fun with others (like tours for example).

HHD is a "good" game for what it is (I'd give it a 70/100, a little higher than what Metacritic gives it - even though I've put 600 hours in the game, thus far.) I do wish they didn't lock special characters out of the main facilities. Also, having all the homes dissociated and isolated in their own little plots is a rather claustrophobic and very anti-AC feeling**. It would have been nice to be given larger plots which could fit multiple properties. There are enough villagers that they could have easily merged themes or done complimenting themes on the same lot of land. I know a lot of people (especially on tumblr) wanted nothing to do with following the themes as they were (and instead deviated into merely including the mandatory items while incorporating their own theme), because of how repetitive they became. You can only design so many coffee-shops and farms before it becomes ZzzzZzz.
Also a long-shot, but I'd also have liked if they would have made it possible to exchange a code to view the entirety of one's "city" in a dream-town like way. Though to maximize the enjoyment of such a feature, they would have had to allow a greater customizing of the environment (changing the fountain for another item, being allowed to drop items/furniture around the exterior, choosing which pedestrians are on the streets, etc.) Maybe giving us differing city layouts via RNG like with regular AC games (and not the same coastal cliff town map for everyone.)

And to address the double asterisks by the claustrophobia feeling in HHD, I fear this will be replicated with whatever garbage would be created for a mobile game (Miitomo itself is basically Tomodachi Life re-branded as: Hikikomori Life, with the false impressions of branding it as a 'social' "game".) As if it weren't already bad enough Nintendo wants to soil AC's 15 years with micro-transactions. Because apparently, defecating on their Pokemon brand and allowing it to writhe in the displeasure with the plethora of such games it was accursed with last year wasn't enough

My turnips are at 183 today.
I failed to check the prices yesterday noon. I had 2 known increases today (morning + noon).
The Stalk Market Wizard says I should sell right away as this is a Large Spike pattern with max increase today. But some guides say that if the price isn't above 300, then I should wait for the next increase.
My guess is that it's either a Large Spike with the max price increase tomorrow morning, or a Small Spike with the max price increase either tomorrow morning or noon.
Basically, the best time to sell should be tomorrow morning.

AC is without a doubt Nintendos best selling casual series so it would work great on phones, but I really don't think they're planning on releasing a full game for the phone it'll be just another side game like HHD or Amiibo Festival and hopefully the NX won't sell like dog shit so we'll actually get a NX Animal Crossing in a few years.

Anon, Nintendo announced this morning that the NX is coming out in March 2017. Unless Animal Crossing U is 90% finished and they haven't said anything to us yet. They're not making it. All that's left for the Wii U is Paper Mario and #FE

Sometimes I like to take shortcuts, horizontally or vertically. And anyway, I'm not really looking for a forest look, but more of an ordered aligned yard, which also fits better with the paths in my opinion.
