First for ded thread
why the thread so dead tho =/
How is the game right now? i was thinking about buying but i don't really have that much free money to spend. Is there enough to do in the game?
also, will they release the single player campaign before the persistent world?
>>139668596
No. There's like 30 minutes of playtime
You also missed the squad42+mmo combo
If I was you I'd hedge my bets and wait for the first episode of squadron 42 to come out and see how it reviews
>>139669761
Any release dates yet, for squadron 42?
>>139669981
Not really. Supposedly before end of the year, but cig has a shit track record for meeting their projected dates.
almost there

Why can't they give the freelancer a fov like that?
>>139678890
because your running cargo you are not a stealth fighter that needs to see 1080 degrees. you have a 3d radar anyways just use that.
>>Friendly reminder that Disco lando hates every single one of us.
Does this game have support for facetrackNOIR?
>>139679283
so do we all?
>>139663683
Still waiting for 2.4 : Still waiting for gameplay mechanics : Still just expecting jpeg ships.
>>139668596
Fun for hours if you like AC : Fun for minutes if you play PU : Single player campaign part1 comes first

i hope a competitor company makes a small mining ship down the line, i really wanted it to look boxy and rugged, maybe like the reclaimer

>There's a Shubin Career site you can check out and it's so good that the fake ads on the page are Ad-blocked because they looked so real.
>You can generate a mining application which then CIG will choose the 5 best submissions from folks and will give away a RSI Orion to those folks.

3 ex-Crytek CIG programmers died to pay for this.
>When weeb autists can't comprehend why they're not welcome
Thread's going to stay up if there's content to discuss and/or play, jackasses, regardless of your ban evading and shitposting.
>CIG are STILL pushing out new designs
>despite being 3 years behind schedule
>FPS module scrapped
>everyone allegedly rushing to get SQ42 done
Well, at least they can still find time to sell jpgs.
>>139683913
>it's so good that the fake ads on the page are Ad-blocked because they looked so real.
Bullshit. Adblockers go by the URL, not by the content. How would they even be able to understand the content of some pictures, run OCR? That would make the browser slow as hell.
>>139691248
Do you seriously expect anyone who appears on RTV to be even somewhat knowledgable?
>>139691580
I don't even get the logistics here. How can such a small ship going all the way to some planet or asteroid, mining and returning with a few rocks of ore even compete against giant planet-based mines? I'm sure even today's mines on earth could output more efficiently than that thing.
>>139692476
Because if a planet already has a "giant planet-based mine", I assume you're talking about a facility or some shit. That'll probably imply that the ore there is prospected and legally owned by a corporation or some shit.
You're a free agent, selling ore to bidders and shit.
>>139692476
I actually didn't realise that it was basically Hornet-sized. Thought it would be closer to the Freelancer. Considering that, the amount of actual cargo it can carry is basically insignificant. The ability to detach the pods and replace them with empty spares is nice and all, but it requires someone in a cargo ship to come along and just wait for you to drop like a few kilograms of ore. If they got rid of the refinery module (that was only supposed to be on large-scale ships like the Orion anyway) they could at least fit 8 containers instead of 4.
>>139693041
So why in the fuck would a bidder buy from some faggot rather than a mass-producing corporation?
>>139693734
Because the mass-producing corporation only mines generic ore, or they don't fucking share
how is this hard to comprehend?
>>139692476
Its gonna be like looking for mineral nodes in wow on a flying mount.
>>139693936
>generic ore
What?
>>139695115
Alright jackass, here's how a mining platform works.
It has to be setup where it can produce a god damned fucking profit, like a planet full of Iron, let's say.
It won't be placed on the planet with traces of gold, because it'll make profit off of the Iron planet filled with tons.
It'll be up to the player to mine the precious minerals.
>>139695559
Why wouldn't they both? You do realize that even if Earth could be considered a "planet full of iron" it still has tens of thousands of tons of gold in it, right? Perhaps if you wouldn't be so damn dense you'd understand the dimensions we're speaking of here. Pro tip: They're a lot bigger than what can fit into that pushcart over there.
>>139696141
You and bernie sanders need one of these
>>139696396
Actually, you need one. Mass production always trumps individuals.
>>139696498
>he thinks mass "production" can take care of the mining needs/supply and/or/demand of femntonucleic crystal samples from Yagrin V.

>>139696775
Except we have so far only heard of mining real minerals.
