Holy crap it's trash, the damage is piss poor even with S scaling staff, focus casting and dragon ring. Even the fuck soulstream has terrible DPS
The only good Int-scaling melee weapon is Sage's rapier (I only won 5 out of 8 PvP battles thanks to it) and does same damage as Sharp +10 Estoc with 40 dex character

Took me more tries than every other boss so far put together. So like, 8, but still.
The teleporting is a little bullshit when he shows up somewhere outside your vision and you don't know what attack he's going to do, but I'm pretty sure he starts the animation before he moves so you should already know. I wish it was a little more recognizable, but its not a huge complaint.
Fun as shit, keeps you on your toes. This is the kind of boss that this level of stamina recovery and roll i-frames needs. Pontiff was cool, but his moveset was too forgiving. Too many attacks that wouldn't hit you even if you mistime a roll, and summoning a clone was basically just a dps window because it would die half the time before he finished the animation.

QUALITY
Reposting for awareness.
I did some testing. At 50 INT, 50 FAI, it is always best to use Sorcerer's Staff/Court Sorcerer's Staff for Sorcery buffs (They add exactly the same amount) and Yorshka's Chime for Miracle buffs. None of the effects that "boost" Sorcery or Miracles affect buffing, so Rings and Sage's are worthless, Catalysts that scale with FAI for Sorceries or INT for Miracles are worthless, and there's no change from base Luck to 50 Luck with Man-Grub's.
Testing was done by hitting the Firekeeper. I'll be using just Magic Weapon as an example, since the effects seem to scale consistently across all the buffs.
For most weapons, at 50INT with the Sorcerer's Staff, Magic Weapon adds 92 or 93 damage, with the 1 point difference probably being just rounding. There is a sort of damage reduction effect applied to certain weapons though. Small weapons like Mail Breaker or Daggers usually only get 60 or 61 added, losing 1/3rd of the strength.
Twin weapons, complicate things further. One handed, all of them get the usual 92/93 with the exception of Brigand Daggers, which get 61. When dual wielding them, most get 60/61 applied to each weapon, however some take it even further. Sellsword Twinblades and Warden Twindaggers reduce the buff down to an appalling NINETEEN for each weapon. Drang Twinspears are even stranger, having 61 for the righthand spear and 19 for the lefthand.
Despite the fact you'd think buffs are supposed to work best with small, fast weapons or twin weapon sets, they intentionally scaled them back to compensate.

I can't understand how people play these games on PC. DaS3 is the first and last time I do it. The lag in multiplayer is absolutely obscene. Even when it's not glitchy as fuck, you get shit where you literally cannot hit the person without a trade every single fucking time. You'll jump in right as theyre still doing an attack to punish, and you deal Zero damage and they roll away as if you did nothing, but then r1 from across wherever they just ended up and hit you.
It's insane. I'm losing my fucking mind with this shit. I can't believe I spent money on this fucking version.

Ive seen webms of sorcerers casting spells with cross-hairs. How in the world do you get that to happen? I've used binoculars and that works ok, but no actual cross-hairs.

I tried all the spell tools and it still wasn't better than Yorshka's,
The thing is, it seems like it doesn't use the Spell Boost, it directly uses the scaling for the stat it's associated with. For instance, Magic Weapon will apparently always use the INT scaling of your catalyst and Lightning Blade will always use the FAI, even if the catalyst itself bases it's Magic Adjust on the other stat.
