I need help with my sapper/scout/musketeer build. I'm only going to use on an alt but I'd still like to optimize it as much as possible and since I know jack shit about archers, I'd like to hear some opinions:

Archer C2:
Swift Step level 10 seems like an essential buff to have. I chose Oblique Shot over Multi Shot for its Slow attribute which would help with crowd control. I'm torn between Full Draw and Heavy Shot here: the former inflicts skew and seems to have a strong knockback but has a cooldown whereas the latter can be spammed.
Sapper C3:
Don't know what's better between Stake Stockades and Punji Stake. Stake Stockades require no mats and deals 3 attacks but Punji Stake knockbacks enemies and has an AoE effect thanks to the Knockback Damage attribute.
Broom Trap because it looks the Sapper's bread and butter. Claymore and Collar Bomb simply because I want to blow shit up even if they might not be that all that good.
Conceal, Detonate Traps and Spike Shooter are here in case I want to duel/want to some non serious PvP.
Scout:
I could go with Flu Flu level 1 and Cloud Flare level 4 instead of maxed out Flu Flu, I'm not sure.
Musketeer:
I kinda wanted to go with Cannoneer instead but they look stupid and I figured I could use some single target skills at this point in the build.
Covering Fire seems to a better AoE skill than Penetration Shot which only fire in a straight line. I could be wrong though, I don't know.

The tooltip is slightly misleading, it says

what it means is that it increases your SP, and also gives you mdef.
The SP increase is 10 SP per level of the attribute. Not very large in the grand scheme of things. Feel free to use it.

If by instances you mean missions, then it's mostly EXP and silver.
At low levels it takes forever and awards almost no silver but the kills give amazing EXP, often granting you multiple levels in a single run.
At high levels it'll give less EXP and more silver, but kills are going to be much faster.

However, it's pretty well known that it's shit.
How exorcism works is you place it, then when a monster walks on it the tile is consumed and the monster gets the exorcism effect.
How Magnum exorcism works, is you place exorcism, then you cast magnum exorcism.
If the tile from exorcism is consumed (a monster steps on it) before you cast magnum exorcism, you can't cast it.
as for recommendations, it sounds like you want to play a STR type cleric? or are you looking for support not in the form of healing? while still having damage, of course.

I'm open to making either a STR character or INT, not committed to either option.
What I do want is to be able to do some kind of support (healing or otherwise) when I'm on a party, but still being able to dish out damage with different skills, as opposed to just buffing myself and using auto-attack because that sounds like it would get dull pretty fucking fast.
Is there such a thing in the Cleric tree, or do I have to commit to be either full support or full DPS?

Well, for a primarily offensive class choice your options are significantly limited in the cleric tree.
Your main choices are likely bokor, paladin, or monk. Alternatively, druid could be an option, but they only have one offensive ability outside mind control/transformation (and the novelty of that will likely fade quick)
This leaves your early ranks open for some choices. You could grab krivis for 1 or 2 ranks, but that would only leave you with 1 damage spell (a really good one, at that).
The other option is to take more ranks in cleric for better heals, or a rank in priest for resurrection.

Your skills as a pelt/rodel are insignificant damage wise.
until they get buffed, the only good skill out of BOTH classes is swashbuckling, in pelt.
some are mediocre when you first get them, but as your level rises the skills will become useless. They just don't scale well enough. In comparison to literally any other damage classes in the game, they lose on a damage race, and there's no need to take a "pure" tanking build to tank; all that's required is peltasta.

I'm a little confused about something: I read that the Paladin's Smite doesn't scale off STR, is that so? Does that mean that if I want to go Paladin, I'm better off increasing INT then? or a balance of the two?
