What kind of build should I go for Archer? Was thinking Ar3-Ran-1-Fletch3, and just try to focus on raw DPS for raiding with friends.

I can't decide whether to go 3:1:1 or 3:2:1 Str/Dex/Con for my Cataphract. My main questions are these:

I feel like it's impossible to come up with a rock-solid build with the limited information we have now. And since there's no way to reset stats I'm getting really paranoid about fucking up and gimping my character.

Also the rest is right, but terminology is important here. In game 'attributes' refer to passive abilities that enhance or change your skills that you train up at your class trainer. What you mean are stats.

Otherwise don't even bother. Rogues will run around with 1500+ evasion. 700-900 evasion on 100% uptime, usually. That's without investing heavily on DEX.

Focus on DEX for crit instead of bothering with evasion/accuracy.
Keep in mind 1 CON = 1 crit resistence, so in PvP heavy CON builds will be hard to crit.

Even if you do every single quest after level 186, all of the cards from this (from levels 186 to about 235) only give enough exp to hit level 209.
Dungeons are 1 or less level per run and missions are still only 20% per run.
Just to go from 190 to 200 without exp cards you need to do 9 dungeon runs and 10 mission runs.

The 190 dungeon doesn't give you much when you can first enter it since the mobs are all lv200 and you are hitting the penalty a bit. It will give you more exp once you get closer to 200, but yeah. Questing and dungeons start being kind of whatever at 200+, grinding is where the exp is at from that point on

Yes. Since Str increases attack and crit attack at the same time, and increases 70% faster, it is more efficient to gem and gear for crit rate. You'll want some Dex for crit unless you are a Hoplite which barely needs any.

Till you reach rank 7 you'll be using Spear + Shield/Dagger, so Swash helps while questing and doing dungeons. Dragoon should have 2h spear equipped most of the time, but you might want to swap for swash if your other party members don't have a way to pull.

Also kind of related but I took ice blast 5 mostly because a public build suggested it and it seemed okay early on, but now I am really starting to regret it, is there some use for it later on or was the guy that made the build smoking the weed? Ice Blast is for the cool animation. You can leave ice bolt at 1 but more levels means you can cast faster since you can release the spell earlier (before the cast bar is full) to cast a lower level of the spell.
So if you have it at level 5 you can cast it as soon as the bar is 20% charged. You'll lose some damage but ice bolt is for freezing anyway.
