There are a lot of changes. All of them for the better, i think. Combos are now time based, there is burst gauge and it fills with time and damage, golden bursts are replaced with overdrive, every character got new moves, game got faster overall.

You definitely will fuck up with the timings, especially considering that all combos are completely different now. So what? Learning bnbs for one character takes, i dunno, between 10 to 30 hours? In 3k time you can learn everything there is for every character.
Also consider that execution difficulty got lowered in CP.

Well, i dunno about Makoto specifically, but CS combos are very long and often have loops with hard links. Loops are pretty much non existent in CP and i don't know any combo that would have more than 2 difficult sequences.
Are both makoto and Bullet tombosy?
