EVERY primary that isn't specifically classified as a "Bow", "Sniper", or "Shotgun" is a "Rifle" and can even be brought on to "Assault Rifle Only" sorties. Even Tonkor and Ogris. Rifle Amp should work on everything that's not a shotgun (there exists a "Shotgun Amp" that was released accidentally during transmute sleek back in the day). Dead Eye is supposed to only work on Snipers, but I'm not sure if it also works on Bows or not. The thing about Dead Eye, is its bonus is calculated AFTER all other damage mods are totaled up, so its actually not bad. I'm not sure how or if it stacks with the shot combo damage multiplier, though.

With Capt you don't have to care about any enemies / clearing out every room, only about the single target raoming around, making the runs generally a lot faster.
