Of course I know they don't know how heavily unfavourable it is for AP laners. The real problem that exists is the fact that they may create an item that will be exploited to all hell. Let's say they do make a new AP item that helps Mages tremendously but at the same time that item is innovative, and a lot of champions in this game that are nothing but innovation. Champions like Skarner are an example of this. If they were to create a new item, changes would have to be made so that it cannot be exploited to such retarded proportions.
