Who has a 4k tv nowdays anyway? Nothing is in 4k aside from a few sports streams and porn. Where as Oculus said like 2 years ago the rift would be about $200-$400 it ended up being $600.
The Vive never had anything said about its price till it was announced and it was $800.
Sony said ages ago the morpheus would probably be about the price of a new platform, so people were already hoping for a $300-$400 pricetag and $400 is what they got, which sounds even better when compared to $600.
Put that together with all the good press the PSVR has actually gotten with people saying how good it is and some more bigger games like Ace Combat and Gran Turismo having support, it will be big.
It helps that its also coming out right before christmas when money leaves people hands easily and people are more willing to spend a big stack of cash on a single item.
I'm willing to get that if they got the inventroy they easily sell 2 million headsets by the time 2016 is over.
