No itd remove the Divine Shield too. Divine Shield counts as a buff to me since its put onto the minion, but there are a few things that wouldn't get removed. For instance if you Purged a Gurabashi that had gained a buff of its passive, it would remove the bonus damage but not the innate passive. Thered have to be a list of things that interacted with Purge effects to see whether or not it actually affected it, but now that I say it like this I realize its too complicated for Hearthstone and they probably wouldnt implement it.

This is what I exactly said in my previous post and you ignored. Those are not that good, they're 55-60% at best since they play very sticky minions and are decks than can pressure and put the freeze mage on a clock to end the game. I personally played zoo on ladder with double soulfire and loatheb, never lost to a freeze while laddering past month using it.
The best matchups for freeze mage are priest and rogue.

In case you're the guy who complained about freeze mage and you wanna know how to win against him, other than playing control warrior or combo druid you can use the tech cards loatheb, kazan and any fort of healing to improve your deck against freeze mage. I do very well with tempo oil rogue and I accept the relatively poor aggro shaman matchup because of specifically what you described. Sometimes they get godhands and I just lose within the first 4-5 turns, but often they just fuck themselves up. And I'm okay with that.
