The gameplay in The Division is excellent, with fantastic sound design and awesome animations. Good loot system, too, with tonnes of weapons that handle differently while still being able to find better version of each weapon with different kinds of stats, talents, etc.

Besides, if you wanna play something long-term, you need to find out how stuff works, so you know how to play your shit the most efficiently.
And half of it is the exploration process. Like, nowhere in the actual game is it explained that biotic combos are not affected by damage, but rather by what levels your skills are in general. Or that ammo counts as a level 1 skill in priming combos.

Do you know how long it took me to learn how to shoot properly? It just is not fun or rewarding or engaging in any way possible to aim your gun directly at someone and have the bullet fly off 90 degrees to the right because you don't have enough gun skill or some stupid shit. If you start as a rookie, you start with 3 skill points, that represents your level of training. Feel free to pool it all on pistols, SMGs etc. to show that your rookie is good in ONE thing, hence why he is a rookie. Or you can make him familiar with a lot of stuff, but good with none. You can play a normally trained agent, that starts with double the stats, which allows for further specialization, or you can introduce him to an even larger number of skills, that he's gonna be objectively shit in, since he specialized in nothing, or you can play a veteran, that starts with triple the points of a rookie and he can actually be good at a variety of things, representing his veteran status.
