She doesn't show up on non-tutorial games but you can import her from one of the default character pools (along with Central). She'll even wear the civilian clothing she has in the tutorial until she gets a class, after which her arms will disappear until you change her props.

I'm not trying to start shit or anything, but can anyone help me understand why people are so into playing as ADVENT?
Is it the same motivation that drives /fog/ modders to try to join the Enclave every time? Is it just wanting to play as the "bad guys"? ARe the burgers that damned juicy?
At the same time, why don't I see a lot of people clamoring to play as a Darkspawn in /dag/ or as Cerberus in /meg/ (I could be wrong on the last two, I don't visit those generals much)?
I get wanting to have more playable options (like the alien classes etc.) but otherwise I'm puzzled.

For me it's partly because their mechanics are cool, partly because of the ADVENT Shenanigans memes we created a while ago. It's fun to imagine and discuss how things would be if ADVENT ayys changed sides and fought for humanity, and by extension, wonder what they would think of humans and vice versa, instead of just being ye olde villains everytime.

I'll reiterate again that I don't use the playable ADVENT mod and instead just have a bunch of 'ADVENT characters'. In complete honesty I don't really actually get any sort of huge connection to the characters I use beyond 'hey this guy is pretty cool' or 'dude waifu lmao'. I think the best way to describe it is that I play characters that I imagine cool backstories for along the line but I don't take the time to write them out a character bio. So yeah, 'hey Officer Patsy, that's a fun idea' but at the end of the day its just a useful specialist that I get a chuckle or good feeling out of sometimes
It goes without saying that everyone will probably have slightly different answers for this but I mean its not like people are actually arguing Pro Advent stuff seriously any more than they are the whole behead those who insult Commanderallah. Its just as all things vidya are, unique ways of distracting ourselves from one waking thought to the next.
