So I played Bloodborne on launch and went in blind and had a good time not really doing any specific builds and just playing the game at my own pace and having fun. I beat it in like 2 or 3 weeks and then sort of dropped it assuming I'd pick it up again later.
Well a few of my friends got PS4s and want to co-op now and I was thinking this would be a good time to start a new character and play the game again fresh with my friends.
I don't really care about PvP, so what's a good PvE build that I can do for new game and all the chalice dungeons and even maybe a few times into new game plus?
I was thinking of going with the Beast Cutter and Gatling gun for the long range game. How should I arrange my stats. I was thinking of going

it's still an incredibly laborious and long fight that's easy to fuck up.
I liked the story version because he had fairly little HP for that point in the game. It meant you could take some risks and damage him in different ways, and it compensated how if you want to play it safe, there are very few opportunities to attack him. Chalice dungeons seem to completely miss that point and shit all over it.
Is it worth it to get the minimum amount of ARC just to use the Augur so I can parry and easy backstab while 2-handing?

I made a quality build with 30 strength and 30 skill. Now I do so much damage with the Ludwig Blade that it makes every other weapon feel like a downgrade.

Well that sucks. I'm mostly disappointed that I need to make a new character since the edgy vileblood waifu I churned out was to my liking. Is Kos Parasite worth trying an arcane build for? If it isn't I'll make another STR build since I cocked up the first one by entering NG+ without a +10 weapon.
