Fairly simple, use dodges for positioning. Use guard advances/side hopping for quick forward movement without sheathing. never finish your combo unless you know you can avoid the damage. Counter is your greatest friend

the counter damage will pretty much be, if you counter an attack, you're doing minimal mv. If you full charge it (usually only happens for whiffs) then you do the increased mv as compensation. Idk why these people say evade lancing is harder, eva +3 makes everything trivial, but it is entirely up to your playstyle

problem is it needs its attack up song just to keep up with other weapons. but not every other weapon has new arts buffing their damage, but hh only got recital boosting arts.
hh needs adrenaline to be 'competitive' which is why people seem to utter them in the same breath every so often

Yeah, I checked out the pastebin links in hbg and none of it seemed difficult to follow. I'm just too careful with my n3ds.
I guess I could just buy a 2ds and do a trial run, and if it works out, I'll move on to (carefully) downgrading my n3ds. Then I'll just give the 2ds to my little brother for his birthday or something.
