I downloaded the save off of reddit though and it had questionable items. It had manly bandanna and ballet shoes, and no snowpieces. Only 3 sea tea and rest was cinnabuns. I later learned that the snowpieces were in the chest but when you're at undyne you can't go back, so that was not helpful. I did beat her eventually though.

Completing the game is the purpose of it. It's fun. There's cool bosses, lots of enemy variation, varied level design, and seeing your character progress into a powerhouse with skill unlocks is great. People don't continue to play the game after the fact just for the loot, it's not a skinner box.

Your terrible taste bothers me. You haven't played a game with varied enemies if you think that paltry selection counts (as you progress enemies simply become stronger versions of those, after all). The areas of the game are barely aesthetically different and certainly add nothing new to the gameplay, and there's not a single boss that's remotely interesting mechanically.

I imagine sans wouldn't want to be alone in the house that he and his dead brother once shared. It'd be pretty painful, to say the least. Rooming with a good friend would ease the pain a bit, I think. At least you wouldn't have to stroll around your house and be reminded of your loss all the time.
I also figured that if they were dating or had become romantically involved, sans would have hinted at it in his phone call. "Roomies" doesn't mean that they're together.

Don't get me wrong, I love me a good superhero cartoon like justice league or even teen titans, and they definitely were going for the good ol' superhero team type show. Their concept would have to be totally overhauled before it could even kind of be a show. I created the hero "shitstorm" for them in chat.
