It's difficult and cumbersome for them to use and Bioware has flat out said that because of it, they couldn't add certain things.
Also, you'll notice that performance is all over the place and the game will spaz out during certain things no matter what your rig is.

Textures being hardlocked to medium because the game couldn't actually run with them on high, which was only used for press releases

People got irritated, especially with them delaying Chapter 10 to Feb and the companions releases so far favoring certain classes. Like Imperial Agent has 2 companions and chapter 10 features another of their companion, Trooper gets Yuun and Patriot Droid with cameos from Vik, and SI gets Talos and Xalek.
Meanwhile Bounty Hunter gets shit and Smuggler has to wait for Chapter 10 meet their Wookie.
Maybe Chapter 10 will bring more alerts but I doubt it.

Seriously though, even Broonmark FUCKING BROONMARK, could be a main character in the same vein as Kaliyo next chapter. Nah, they fixed most of the issues. The game runs more or less OK now, but it still suffers under certain circumstances (Such as Warzones I hear, but I'm not a Sorcerer so I don't do those). But it's too little too late, the game is already a F2P Single Player MMO.
If the engine actually worked on launch, hell it might have avoided the noose, or at least prolonged it for another few years.

This isn't true. After chapter 9 of kotfe you get access to an increasingly wider pool of companions, including a handful from various storylines now that anyone can get. Not all of the companions are back though, like Jaesa or Ashara.
It's pretty likely at some point during kotfe's run most or all companions will be back and available for everyone, but for now there's only a few.

Some guy last thread said that companions unlock all of their quests during your play throughof your story mission. Is that really accurate? I've finished my story, hit 65, currently doing Makeb, and still haven't completed everyone's stories. I don't have them all unlocked and there's no mission symbol above them.

Depends on how much time you invest in the game. At the absolute top tier of skill, Anni Marauder has top DPS. That takes substantial time and effort to get to that point, though.
I personally like to steer people toward the easier classes in the game to play, as once you get good, you can still deal out considerable damage. It just takes less time to get good with those classes. Concealment Operative, Deception Assassin, Rage Juggy, and Fury Mara are all insanely easy to put up good numbers, and at the top tier of skill, in the grand scheme of things, aren't THAT far behind Anni. Not in any practical sense, anyway.

That's because the art assets already exists in game since launch. 99% of the cartel armors are variants on the assets that already exists. They only added or removed shit and recolored it.

just get 3 gathering and/or mission skills and spam those , esp once you have more than one follower and sell your shit on the GTN until you're maxlevel, then look into which crewskill could be useful for your class

I never played Kotor 1 or 2 anywhere near release. Hell, I didn't see the original trilogy till i was 25, I think i saw episode 1 in the theaters at release and as a result didn't give a fuck about star wars for like 7 or 8 years.
I got the star wars pack during the steam sale and finally got KOTOR to not break my resolution when it launches.
I'm 7 hours deep and I'm only now leaving Taris. This game is fucking amazing.

Sniper is way more fun if you're grouped, it's also kind of unique with the massive range and true glass cannoning. I loved leveling my sniper back at launch, and it's probably even easier/funner now that companions make you invincible.

Gault is fucking great. I can get why some people dislike him so much, you're pretty much forced to hand in a fake bounty which for HONORABU MANDARORIANS is pretty fucking gay. He seems like another byproduct of the scrapped stuff from beta where you could kill certain traitors or kick them out your squad but people would have got upset over permanently losing companions (Which to be honest does have some merits considering the game is, or rather was, an MMO).
But he's just a fun guy to have around with you. And his companion questline thing is Grade A Jew Tactics Masterclass.
Can't wait till he turns upapparently teamed up with Vette?later in KoTFE.

BH, because I draw dual pistols and shoot all the rockets. I can be highly mobile, do aoe or concentrate single target dps, I have CC options and can heal if needed. Oh, and I get to wear heavy armor and a couple of tankish abilities. Basically its everything in one so I never get bored and can wear practically anything for pretty princess dressup.
