So, are candy canes/eggnog etc a safe investment?
Normally limited time materials are a great investment (I made a killing on those lucky envelopes last year) but the only reason I can see for wanting them is for Winter's Presence, which you can only get during wintersday anyway.
Currently playing out with concepts for blackguard-ish revenant type. Kinda undecided with a Edmund Blackadder inspired Human Male and my current Sylvari Female revenant.

As the novelty died down and some players quit or didn't care anymore, FUN's raiding groups, even the S-Team, promoted slots in /g when preparing for raids, taking literally any class.
Same with the other teams. Especially Owl's, which was always lacking players.
So you either really missed several chances, or you are full of shit and/or butthurt you didn't get a spot in the S-team.

Giving Thick Leather a value that actually sells on the TP, for the most part. The changed they made are mostly revolving around limiting the liquid flow of cash in the game (dungeon murdering, somewhat set back by the Fractal rewards, now), and decrease the inflation.
Raids and Fractals still drop PvP gear, and you can buy them with wipe tokens from Raids, but drops are still RNG, in both the chance and the parts you get.
Raids drop equipment for different armour classes too, rather than a selectable box.
It's rather stupid, I don't disagree.
