So back to what was said on that earlier thread about people dying in DR3. I can see it happening
See it like this. Kodaka feels that us personally finishing DR3 would make us want to hurry up and play V3 as soon as possible. I feel just with that it has to mean something ya know. Like maybe we get a crazily sad ending or a curve ball of an ending for Hope's Peak with
-The survivors dying by Monaca or some other force which would help solidify that Monaca is basically surpassing Junko.
-The whole world gets worse and Monaca starts rebuilding it in her own twisted image Ala Junko.
- The V in V3 stands for Victory. Why though? Victory of what? Hope? If so, Monokuma wouldn't be hanging around and the school wouldn't look like it's been taking over again or the world needing domes and shit. So, I'd say maybe this V stands for Despairs' victory from the old series and how this affects the future with "inmates" and stuff.
-This V3 could be the start on something new and may start explaining how Monokuma is there. But as the games continue to follow, it would show some overarching plot to the whole thing that somehow connects back to Hope's Peak because no matter how you slice it, as Monokuma is the mascot for DR, he's basically a symbol of Hope's Peak through Junko and what not the girl who started the Tragedy in the past.
-So to conclude the series if Kodaka gets bored and doesn't want to milk the series any longer with having to come up with mechanics for cases, you could end it for the 10th anniversary with V5 or whatever and have it involve time travel to the past to correct the mistakes of the predecessors and preventing the Tragedy whether this means killing Junko or what not, who knows. Basically a X Men Future Days Past scenario that would end their main storyline there. Just that this V arc will be revealed gradually to have some big connections to the Hope's Peak arc especially if they're in the same universe which I strongly believe they are.

Once again, it was not his intention to kill Chihiro in the first place. He wanted to still honor him by keeping his secret.
The fact that Mondo even mentions not to feel sorry for him because he knows he does something that he can't take back shows a lot more responsibility for how he handled the situation that any of the other killers, besides for the obvious Sakura.

And the fact he shows remorse and actually doesn't really do much to defend the accusations against him near the end clearly show he did feel sorry for killing Chihiro. For one he wasn't even trying to kill him in the first place. The weight of the incentive and old memories of his insecurities with his brother combined caused him to snap out of nowhere which unfortunately caused Chihiro's death.
Doesn't excuse his actions in the least no. But he at least felt remorse. Did Leon feel bad about killing Sayaka? Did Celeste feel bad about killing Hifumi and indirectly getting Ishimaru killed?
