If you're talking about the actual fight itself, I've seen a lot of people use area grabs. Sanctuary would be useful for cracked panels cause you need to move around a lot. You don't want him to back you into a corner.

They won`t use any of the original coding and assets. That alone takes part of the shittiness away.
The chances are that they would focus on X AND Axl, instead of just Axl or even Zero. This means that X WOULDN`T be unlockable in his own game again, maybe Zero would be the unlockable one this time around or even doesn`t have an unlockable character at all.
Axl`s gameplay would be treated better, as it`s isn`t just an experiment anymore and they have past past games to use as reference now, like X8 and ZXA.
And they would likely change the story around to make it fit in the timeline. This means, the story will be better explained, characters wont be written wrong again.

From what I can tell, originally it was intended for them to be straight siblings with no incest. In later series they got romantic shit due to Reasons, and it became something that both the fanbase and the devs both came to expect on a regular basis, and kinda got made retroactive continuity or something.
