I have a n3ds xl running 9.9. It's new, so it has never been hacked.
My number one objective is to get good NES, SNES, and Genesis emulators running. I am willing to sacrifice the ability to play literally any other games or going online if I can achieve this.
I don't know anyone in real life with a 3ds, much less a hacked one. I'm 25 and work in a manufacturing facility.
I have read the wiki. It doesn't look like I have a lot of options.
QUESTIONS:
1. If I buy a sky3ds, are there ready-to-go Oothax/cubic ninja roms out there?
2. Are there any entry points available on the newest firmware that aren't available to me right now? Even if my device has never been hacked? Are there any serious tradeoffs/ doors this will close for me?

once you launch hbc, do menuhax, then get old ironfall from the old eshop app in hbc, then create an ironfall save (with a name and shit), then install ironhax to that save
you're set. just don't update your 3ds ever again. snes emulation isn't great but retroarch is constantly improving. take a look back here in six months, there might be some way to get full kernel access without downgrading (no reason to bother with that since you just want emulation), full kernel access might make snes emulation a bit faster, we don't know
