You get two!
One is a grimdark edgy route with a million (okay, three) bad endings. The other is a route with actual character development and a heartwarming romance. It's a little overdone (Hanako practically becomes a socialite by the end) but still glorious for what it is. Hanako's 'true' ending really feels like the intended final ending of Katawa Shoujo as a whole.

Lilly's route is transformed into an overblown epic tale featuring a Rin/Emi comedy duo, cello playing scenes, Lilly getting tonsillitis, and a gatecrashing alcoholic Yuuko. It's so long that it spans 5 acts.
Shizune's route more or less brushes the whole sign language thing aside during the third act and instead becomes a tragic tale featuring a suicidal Misha. Although the drama is cheap and forced, it's still better than the final route imho. There are way more choices (even though most of them make no real difference) and you get a slightly less depressing optional sex scene with Misha which is kinda cool. Like with the other alpha routes, there isn't a real 'message' to the route: screwing Misha doesn't cause the world to end.
I still haven't finished Rin and Emi's alpha routes yet but I'll be playing through Rin's in a short while. So far, Rin's alpha is more or less the same overarching plot but written entirely differently, and with less choices to make. Also Hisao was a total dick and ripped out Rin's earphones while she was painting. Alpha Rin sometimes listens to music while she paints.

Still playing through Rin's Alpha route. Nearing the date of the art exhibition. There's a lot of minor script differences, but the only two major changes so far have been the lack of choices and an extra scene when Hisao and Rin stroll through the city at night. Rin is as confusing and blunt as ever in many respects, but with a slightly better vocabulary. So far, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it unless you felt like replaying Rin's route anyway. I only meant to play through Hanako, Lilly and Shizune's routes in the first place so going through Rin's too is more curiosity than anything else desu.

If anyone actually knows the real life places that Yamaku was based on, I can make it in Hammer pretty easily. The body morph part is actually pretty simple in perspective of Source. The only problem with Source is that the "MMORPG" part, server-wise, might be difficult.

I'm not a regular and this isn't KS so stop me if I can't be here but I need SOMEone to talk to and there's nowhere else I can go.
I finished Life is Strange last night and I am not dealing. The reason I figure you guys might be the place to come is it's almost the same feeling I had from finishing KS all those years ago, though with the extra twist of feeling like I fucked up. It's made me think about how much of a nothing I am in life. How I'm going nowhere. How I understand human relationships through a lens and have none. I don't know what to do.
