PAL copies of Battle & Chase turn up semi-frequently on Ebay. I look at Ebay every other week and there's a new copy for sale; surprisingly affordable at that.
Meanwhile, PAL copies of Mega Man 8 never appear and if they do, they're selling for over $300. Seeing the NTSC copies go for $20 or less just rubs salt in the wound.

Oddly enough there were allusions to Proto Man being used to test war robots in Archies but in the canon series, robots are never mentioned being used for war. In Megamix, the army was human and consisted of tanks and stuff and in Super Adventure Rockman, they didn't use robots either.
The closest canon robot we've seen is Commando Man, but he's not made for combat originally. He was stationed in Sudan to clear minefields from past wars(Leftover mines are a pretty big problem in some parts of Africa. They use specially trained rats to help clear them IRL). There was also Search Man created by Dr. Wily specifically for combat against Mega Man but that doesn't really count as a conventional war robot.

Robots probably aren't used for war unless it's against other robots because of the three laws. Such practices would probably reduce human casualties.

Shitting christ this game was dark. Mega Man fucking obliterated Shadow Man for killing Quick Man then makes a grave for Quick, Hard Man and Top Man get fucking melted by acid. The only ones with the least dramatic death was probably Heat Man.

The rest of the game was good though and It would have been interesting to see what changes to the plot they would have made. Maybe they would have fixed the mess that was X6 and X7. Even in the Mega Man series Heat Man is said to be able to reach temperatures of 12,000 degrees Celsius, which is hotter than the core of the earth and the sun's surface. Additionally it stops being fire at that temperature and turns into plasma. If this were true, Heat Man could kill every living thing within quite a wide radius of himself.

There was one time in which he was killed by a robot a lot weaker than him. But then his father rebuilt him. So I've been trying to draw my OC, keyword here being 'try,' and 'draw' only being meant in the loosest possible sense, but I've had a few issues, and I thought I would ask for some input.
The basic idea was a pearl mussel as a base for the design, using the shells as wings, shooting a nacre glue bomb, and closing the shells to spin around in an attack. The problem is, with my general lack of artistic skills, I really need to focus on trying to maybe get one design to look passable, instead of several to look shitty.
Firstly, I can't really decide if it would be better off as Pearl Woman orMusselMan. Female would fit a bit better design-wise, I think, but I have the suspicion that female OC robot masters might be overdone, and I wouldn't want to be too horribly cliched. Plus puns.
Secondly for armor, aside from the helmet, which I think should just be a round pearl, I can't really decide between a rough matte oyster shell look, a burled natural pearl design, or a scallop shell motif.
I also can't really decide on the precise shape of the armor itself, I suppose if I went with the shell, it'd be more of a V-shaped breastplate, pearl would work with varia shoulderpads, and scallop would be epaulette shoulderpads?
And finally, not really related to design, but the purpose that they would actually be built for, I have three things in mind. While research robot masters seem like they might be a bit overdone as well, it would fit nicely with them being able to close themselves in their shell to withstand deep sea pressures to do things like monitor the sea floor and trenches. They could also be an aquaculture overseer or fishing robot, or the more silly option of being a Maitre d'Hotel at a seafood restaurant and raw bar, taking care of tableside preparation of food as well.
So yeah, thoughts?

I would actually suggest trying several designs. It's okay if it looks bad, that's why I don't really mind posting my old concepts here. That's how you get better. I like the premise behind her first purpose.
Even the pros try several different designs before they settle on one they like. When designing Chill Man they went through 15 different concepts. You can never have too many female OCs, just because there's a small handful of em here. about 4-5. The reason female robots are more popular to make is because there's so few of them in the canon.
