hans is always a faggot unfortunately. Best advice is to buy an extra MWG and toss it on the ground so when you run out of ammo you have a backup. Good teams typically buy a ton of extra weapons for bosses but don't expect pubs to know this. They sometimes pick up and sell the weapons on you.

I honestly dont understand why Tripwire re-designed Fleshy and Scrake so poorly

Fleshy in KF1 actually looked fucking spooky. The way his flesh was rotten, lips missing and eyes covered made him look menacing as he slowly walked towards you.

Now he looks like a manlet with a steroid problem that just rushes towards you.

Scrake has a similar problem. In KF1, he looked almost normal and calm until you angered him. In KF2, he's a large half naked black man who injected way too many steroids on him and went on a killing spree.

This is so wrong, the +25% starting ammo doesn't do shit compared to picking fully stocked.
With fully stocked you get all firebug weapons at max ammo.

Concussive force needs to knockdown everything regardless of health, currently only really knocks down scrakes every time.

He definitely needs more base grenades a level like in this image, maybe even reducing the cost for his perk to buy grenades in half, if you switch from demo with 4 grenades to firebug you get 2 molotovs to avoid exploitation.

He's probably the class that most needs a sidegrade tier 3 or 4, the zerks sidegrades easy to make but the demo is the most needing of it due to everything of his being single shot.

On contact should probably just be a perk passive, come wave 6 on long if you aren't using on contact with on perk you are so much of a fifth wheel it isn't funny.

They need to fix especially the fleshpound the invulnerability to stun animations, theres alot of animations that exist that if a fleshpound is hit with dynamite during it, it does not care in the slightest, examples such as the raging animation, the jumping attack and the raging chase animation all ignore stun procs whereas knockdown doesn't.

They also need to fix phantom shots, some shots which are seriously out of the safety range do not explode, some shots are also completely phantom where they are visible, they explode and do no damage except that you can instantly shoot again the real shot as the first was bugged, happens often with hx25.

Reduce m79 impact damage but greatly increase the explosive.

These are things i would change straight off the bat without even needing to test.

Am I the only one in /kfg/ who feels extremely incomfortable when playing KF1/2 solo? The fact that enemies can appear anywhere and are in dozens just make the game really stressful for me, I'm not scared, but I'm always thinking about getting overwhelmed etc and it makes me play badly.

I wouldn't say I share your problem, but I can relate.
It's you against the world with nobody saving you if things go south. Specially in KF1 you got this thick athmosphere and a sense of dread. Abandoned places creep me out, even more so if a horde of clones is chasing me down and only me!
I find the game boring solo, it IS a team game and playing just by yourself takes away all the magic of a bunch of guys teaming up to overcome the odds and the situations that are created by that.

Though playing solo might help me being better at clutching.

I know how you feel, I can understand and appreciate a challenge with some things, but when you talk about nerfing everything to supports level just becauae "you" think you're pro enough, thats no fun.
You basically enhance everything being a damage sponge for others as well as making it "magdump that scrake" meta, instead of how it was when 1-3 members handled it while the remaining team keep them safe from trash and siren/husks harassing. everyone knew what to take on in a role from the perks and now its just a gang up session because everyones lost their strengths

I believe incinerate/detonate really buffed the shit out of his melee, but yeah he's been overtuned for a long time. He can 2-shot you through about 60 armor and 100 hp if you get unlucky and he does his smash attack. Or if he decides to use melee twice in a row instead of guns or something. Well that's the real problem, the harder something is the more sterile and samey the gameplay becomes. Everyone complains about unviable perks and overtuned bosses and shit but that's largely because of balancing to make things hard. When shit's hard people come up with strategies like zerker walling.

I dunno it's important to find a balance between challenge and fun, right now I think tripwire and the community focuses too hard on challenge. Running around finding ammo crates wave 1-3 used to be fun and they completely removed it, support was fun and they nerfed them to shit. Having hans 2-shot your entire team after 40 minutes just isn't fun to me.

My only complaint with gunslinger is their grenades are fucking terrible. They can barely kill anything and seem to have really bouncy physics making them hard to place correctly.

Other than that I love everything about the perk, i really love the role of medium zed killer. I primarily focus on taking out husks, sirens, and bloats for the team, but slinger is great at handling everything. Stumbling and tripping big zeds is perfect and the weapons feel weighty and powerful. pls no nerf

demo in general is shit. C4 is just bad, it has a hidden damage reduction so that every sequential c4 deals 50% less damage with a 3 second timer between dropoff.

Demo only becomes viable when you hit 25 and abuse nuke but good luck grinding that high without killing yourself.

Although to be fair demos do actually help a lot with fleshpounds and large zeds in general with the ability to stun them.

personal opinion

zerker/medic > firebug > gunslinger > demo (with nuke) > commando > support

zerker - tank big zeds, deal tons of damage, no reloads, fast as hell

medic - heal the team, kill zeds, fast, lots of armor

firebug - deal tons of damage, best scrake killer, best hans killer ammo can be a problem, easy

gunslinger - medium zed killer, great at killing everything, fast, good damage but you have to actually aim and get headshots

demo - nuke in zed time to melt everything in radius, stun large zeds with dynamite and headshots, kill fleshpounds

commando - callout, zed time extension (get kills during zed time), trash clearer

support - waste teams money, give ammo to team, AA12 mag dump large zeds or anything close to the team

Berserker is strong and good at tanking big zeds while everyone unloads, or EMPing Scrakes so they can get decaped in seconds

Commando is a good trash killer who helps a lot by making stalkers and patriarch visible

Support is a money black hole who barely brings anything to the team other than some good firepower after it gets its AA12 almost by the end of the game...

Medic is the guy that keeps everyone alive even if their armor regen isn't that good anymore

Demo is a very slow perk who can stun Fleshpounds, take out groups of mobs and take out half of a FP's HP in 6p HoE, hard to play but still useful despite what memers say, just not a killing machine

Firebug is an excellent trash killer who makes crowds literally explode and melts scrakes and bosses with its microwave gun

Gunslinger is an alright trash killer who's very efficient at taking out big guys quickly if you got enough skill to do it, very good at kiting as well but it's also very fragile

You have no idea how badly I wish that you could highlight zeds like you can with enemies in Vermintide. If you haven't played that game you can press a key to highlight any of the special vermin so that the entire team can see them through walls and over long distances like the player highlight in left 4 dead. Rack 'em up is better. It's 10% more damage per headshot for a max of 70%. Even if you shouldn't bother with it for trash, dumping 7 9mm rounds into a scrake/fp and then doming their heads with dual 500s is a really fast and safe kill if you're good enough.

I might be an idiot if I think, that people might be smart enough themself to modify this basic framework into something more fitting to their style.
Med pistols are always handy on any class, hands down. It's like one of the most general gameplay tips you can give to a rookie. But if your team has a medic doing his job, you won't really use that med pistol until maybe the boss wave, atleast from my experience. This "useless" gun could then free up space for something that's going to see more actual use.
On the other hand this might encourage people, specially in pubs to take a bit more care of their mates in general.
I think, I'll add it to the load out and put the "9mm early wave trash clearing business" into a general tip, since it's a cheap and very effective way to save up money for your tier 3/4 faster.

Both have their respective use, but fanfire "always works" like you said while Uber Ammo is not that impressive without zed time extensions.
Putting it into this perspective having Fanfire on the common perk setup would make much more sense.
