I feel that too much is sacrificed for the block, there isn't any real form of physical mitigation, and the life total is a bit lower than what I would like. Honestly, the only reason that I would go CI block is for Aegis Aurora to heal you a shit ton.

couldnt use an aegis. it doesn't have enough base ES to make up for the loss of ES from passives
i tested it myself. you can get 9k+ ES with nothing but a few ES notables and all of the shield block and shield defense nodes
you could use energized armor and hybrid armor/es gear
it definitely works. the hard parts will be getting the gear you need and finding enough damage to clear high level maps

You can easily get 50 blades out at once even without vaal haste, which means the blade at level 1 is 250-350 damage. Use Blasphemy + Poach and Warlord = beefy tank.While people are gaga-ing over BV I'll be making a Bladefall build because of the insane base damage since you can only access it at level 28. Thoughts? I think siege ballista has a lot of potential to be FoTM, even if people don't use dedicated builds for it I can see bow builds running a 4l siege ballista setup to increase their damage output on bosses or in bad situations

this build is far from optimal
first, scaling with elemental damage is bad on skills like ice crash, because you're only scaling half of the damage that is converted to cold damage. Scaling with phys is better, because you're scaling the whole part of it.
End charge on melee stun on your setup is bad, put fortify on your main setup instead. Generate end charges with enduring cry.
The leech nodes are pretty bad specially for ice crash that only gets half the phys leech due to conversion
armor is not specially good, and templar start isn't either, marauder is better. Instead of using the blood magic keystone you should use the gem.
Hypothermia isn't good since it won't apply to the first hit, and you have other priorities, I'm not a fan of faster attacks for ice crash either since it has a less attack speed modifier

unless this is bait, armor can come from other shit other than chest, including flasks. and ultimately results in phys reduction. which is also affected by: a passive, and charges. you can have 24% phys resist with zero armor if wanted. but with that cloak you could still have a solid 10k armor without flask if you use shield
