Got discouraged when I went to Mensis and didn't do a whole lot of damage to the midgets in armor, but then I dropped into Lower Loran and was doing great damage. Guess those guys have good Arc resistance. Invading is a total blast, my favorite is research hall.

I think storywise that Bloodborne is the best and that's really the draw of Miyazaki for me. It was a tad too linear in its progression and certain parts of the game feel uneven as fuck, especially the beast bosses and the Nightmare of Mensis, but overall the PvE was really good in this game.
I doubt we'll have a hub world in Dark Souls 3. Bloodborne had elements that were very much successors to Demon's Souls and the idea of a hub world/nexus is one of them. If anything we'll just have another Firelink Shrine type place.

The area has one 19% gem you can pick up from the ground. You have to farm the other two from the brains. Slap 3 of those and you can do PVP without farming chalices.

It's not the ability itself, it's the fact that it can be seamlessly chained from an R1 really fast. So you're already stunned from the R1 and going into the L1 is so fast it happens before the other player can recover, and it's continues with a stun while doing insane damage.
By the time you get out you're either dead or have ~1/4 of your health left because the damage is so retarded.

There are tons of different mobs in areas that spawn only in higher NG cycles (can't be asceticed). For example, brume tower gets more npcs and some red phantoms at NG+2 and then keeps getting more up until NG+7.
I mean yeah it's piss easy, but at least they tried and it is refreshing. It's definitely better than just health+damage because just health+damage gets boring as shit. As long as the new challenges/enemies don't drop exclusive items then there is literally nothing wrong with it, in fact i'd say it should be in ds3, and should've been in bloodborne.

/bbg/ can get a little vitriolic but I think it's based mostly on the presentation of ideas. Like someone comes in here and starts screaming their ideas are right, of course /bbg/ is gonna lose its shit. None of these characters develop, they at best do their own thing and you get to maybe see them a couple times. You don't save them from direct peril and have little agency in their fates outside whether you pointlessly kill them.
