With Hunter's Axe untricked I literally just kept near its left leg the entire fight and slashed at the hand that dangled close to it.
Avoid getting stepped on by the way and keep running to its left if it starts swinging and pivoting instead of trying to step on you.

in phases 1 and 3 you can cheese amygdala by getting behind her, hitting her tail, making sure to avoid her stomps, and waiting until she jumps. when she jumps, stop moving and charge an R2. she'll miss and you can aim the R2 at her head if you position correctly. this isn't terribly effective in phase 1, but it's the perfect strat for phase 3, because she'll jump constantly
you can cheese phases 1-2 with projectiles (especially executioner's gloves). if you're a melee build then you need to learn her attacks. in phase 1 hit the head, but in phase 2 seriously, just hit the arms. it's not worth it to hit the head. then cheese phase 3 with the jumps
i have killed amygdala maybe 100 times. you can literally treat her like a robot once you know this strat

the lost version has a circular slot for tinge gems, which are strictly better if you're a pure tinge build. they will gimp your regular damage and viscerals so if you ever use the 1h, use radial-radial-triangle versions

Maria was okay but she holds literally no wow factor other than the points that she was probably Gehrman's fuckbuddy at one point, is cute, and uses an anime weapon.
Ludwig is a terrifying beast that halfway through pulls out THE fucking magnum opus weapon of all FromSoft's games and turns from a hideous horsething into a swordsman.
Ludwig was just overall more impressive than Maria was.

Speaking of bosses, Maria is everything I wanted the gehrman fight to be. When you finally fight him it was like woah he's the first hunter this is gonna be a straight up 1v1 and then like instantly he pulls out his ridiculous teleporting and magic shit and it's like oh....he's not like a hunter at all he's like a regular boss. Maria's first phase obviously has quickening but for the most part it feels like fighting a really fucking strong npc hunter, fuck if you catch her off guard you can stunlock her, I didn't mind dying to her because I felt like I got ouplayed.

Ludwig is one of the least important figures in the game. That's why people are bitching so hard about Laurence being a Cleric Beast reskin on fire, because he's one of the most important characters to the story.

What should I level next? I'm currently lv88 with 40vit, 20end, 10str, 50skl, 10blt and 8arc. I use BoM, Burial Blade and once I get them the Saif, Rakuyo and perhaps the Bowblade.

If we're nerfing kin mode, lets also nerf bloodletter's r2, rakuyo's spin2win, mlgs l2 and amygdala's arm charged r2. Which ain't happening because BB is very careful with nerfs.
So far I have 152 stamina on mt Str/Blt build and it's so damn good. Being relentless really pay off.
